Hey guys I've been with Beam.NG for 1 year now, I've noticed a lot of cars but no Drag racing vehicles. So a lot of us members of Beam.NG would like a few Drag racing Vehicles. I have a few pictures for like bodys of vehicle as my self i cannot make a Vehicle. If a Mod Creator would make 3 Vehicles Prostocks, Funny Cars, and Dragsters. It would be fun to drive and test/tune on most maps... Hopefully a Mod Creator would make one for us Beamers to Drive and test/tune! if some one does i will donate ($10 MAX) Good luck and Thank you!

Add a zero or 2.
While this is true. I'd rather share my own work (ie the work I want to do) for free or if I am doing it for commision, be offered a rate that actually makes it worth my time spent on the commission when I can be out socialising or working on the projects I want to do. Most modders will be thinking this way. 10 bucks for 3 mods, where is the enticement to take the 10 bucks when I'd rather be putting say a first generation ford focus wagon into the game which I personally would rather see. Consider it can easily take a good 100 hours of time to go from nothing to completed vehicle in game (more even, less even). 3 vehicles, ok I will be really nice and "round" that to 150 hours. My native currency is british pounds sterling. 10 dollars = £7.10. I'd be making 4.7 pence per hour. Now while I am not suggesting someone should be paying me the national minimum wage of £6.70 per hour in order to commission a mod, 4 pence as an incentive to perform a commission I do think is frankly taking the piss. We're not talking a minecraft skin that can be completed in an hour (for which 10 bucks would then switch over to being rather generous), we are talking many hours taken modelling the vehicle inside and out (including running gear) then texturing it and jbeaming it, each a complex skilled task taking tens of hours each and I am expected to complete it 3 times over just for 10 bucks?
Think about it like building a working, highly detailed scale remote control model. Now make it a lot harder because you have to make it deform and behave like the real thing. After all that work and effort poring over your magnificent creation, you then turn around and decide you might sell it. Do you donate it to the museum for everyone to enjoy? Do you sell it to that one guy for $10? Do you keep it? If someone approached me after all that work and offered me $10, I'd say no way cheapskate, I'll just keep it. $10 is just insulting.
Ive spent well over 150 hours just for the jbeam itself for 1 vehicle. it was also made from scratch. Yeah im making this for fun, but those are my projects, if someone came to me and said they want to hire me to make the entire jbeam from scratch, i would take it as a job, 10$ is not a lot for 150 hours, i have to agree with that.
Not really, as i said, if someone wants to hire me and they say that they will pay, i would do it, depending on the project, if its just some guy that has no idea and there is no model, and just wants me to do the entire jbeam and just throws it at me, i will not do it, even for the money, but if someone has a few peoples working on a car, and hes asking me to do the jbeam, i will accept it, even if its for free. That being said, thats me. of course having a few bucks would be nice, who does not want that, but helping some guy making a car into beamng, thats just as fun, even if its for free.
Its not really Paying, but at the say time Its a donation because if i paid for it then only i would get the Vehicles. What im saying is that Everyone would want to see this, not just me. But i will donate!
If you hire someone to do a job, even if the content is free, its paying, donating is basically giving money without expecting anything. For what you want to do tho, i am very interested in creating dragsters, ive though about making more, ive made the annihilator, its a dragster from carmageddon reincarnation, but its awful, and i want to redo most of it, since it was my 2nd vehicle, it was not that good. I have a lot of free time, but that might change in the next weeks or so, im also not an expert at making jbeam, and i am not that good at creating models and textures. that being said, even if you dont want, or cant give out money, i am still interested in creating dragsters. i really love dragsters and i want to see more in beamng.
The Annihilator is a very good i have it myself good job on it... If you could make a dragster i will be willing to donate if you make it for every one. The annihilator is more of a Funny car. but if you could make a dragster that will be cool and like i said i will donate
I love dragsters and i WOULD make one, but i cant model an entire car, its the reason why i port models from other games. even if i would take the time to model it, it would not be that good, and the real issue is texturing the thing. I though about porting the funny cars from grid autosport but they are not packed the same way, so as of now it does not work.
