Yeah, with swift execution. Aboroath, you and me team up and we'll jump 'em. Heh heh, they won't know what hit 'em. But in all seriousness, this is going to be great. Take your time and make this highly detailed and accurate, and you'll have the adoration of the forums.
It was my first car and I actually paid for it. $1800 in 84'. In very good condition generally with some rust here and there in the absolutely cavernous trunk. Was a bright metal flake blue with a white soft top. Bummer it had a 318 2 barrel econo set up but back then I was a fucking party animal and it was all about the looks anyway. Ah...the mammeries. Surprisingly I didn't wreck it, someone else did and I ended up trading it for a forest green 70' Cutlass, named her 'Green Hell'...yes Metallica. I blew that up and traded that for a Kramer Focus 6000 guitar w/ Floyd Rose gear and a good bit of real crystal meth....I'm going way off topic here...lol. So I have a wonderful affinity for Chargers, perfect rig for the 80's.
Dodge configured some of these with Race tuned 427 Hemis straight off the factory floor unless im mistaken. Would be nice to see that in the game. I want to say they also had a stock car variant of this year. It was either the 71 or the 69, i know dodge had airodynamic Charger R/Ts in the 70s winston cup.
Sorry, I just gotta correct ya. The 427 Big Block was a Ford manufactured engine. The 426 is the Hemi
Indeed. You can only memorize so many engine block sizes before you start to make single digit errors lol.
The General Lee was two years earlier than that car. There's quite a few differences. Notable differences.
Actually they used several different years of Chargers for the General Lee (69-72 models, the newer models modified to look like 69s). They destroyed 300 something chargers over the course of the series (350 if you count the 2 movies). They also occasionally put cement in the trunk of the vehicle to weigh it down to keep it level during stunts. They also used the chassis of another vehicle (not sure what model but it wasnt a dodge frame) with a Charger body for the episode where they turned the general lee into an off roading vehicle. It should also be noted that the general lee's were all modified heavily to fill the role (EG: Racing roll cages, these were never a factory options).
Actually they used 1968-1970. The bodies on 1971-1972 are completely different. There were also redesigns in 1973 --- Post updated --- That's just what the package was called
They also modified the general lee once in Dukes of Hazzard as i was mentioning with an off road suspension
