Just dumb. This is just absolutely dumb. Why can't they just have two Smartphones, bring them on the market nicely and quietly, with a nice understatement, and for no more than $250? They aren't worth more anyway. Yes you did.
When I had the original galaxy note, apple made fun of it for looking like you were holding up a piece of toast to your face to make a call. Now I see more note sized iPhone than normal ones and I'm still on the note 4. Suck it apple, your phone is a Samsung unit anyway. The memory the display hell most of it. All they do is put it in a cute aluminum case and hire some celebrity to market it.
I prefer my small Nokia 635. Nice, small, plastic, and extremely durable. And, the best part, it's a Windows Phone.
Dude. I watched one of my old Nokias get run over by my mother's Volvo years ago. Took it like a champ it was unreal watching the tire deform around the phone and seeing the phone without a scratch after words.
What are you on about? I'm sure the s7e is only worth $250 too? The smartphones (especially apples) might be a bit overpriced, but there is no way you could expect a 6s+ to be under $250. The 6se is a small phone with the modern chip, the 6s is medium sized, the 6s+ is large. I see no problem with that.
I completely agree. It's a small, cheaper, fast phone. It's for people who want an iPhone, but couldn't afford one. It's like the 5C, except it's just as fast as it's sister devices. It's very smart, actually.
I have a 635 too. It's cheap, durable, and does all I need. Battery life is better than most £500 flagships too.
Only problem I have with mine is it only has 512MB of RAM, and I sometimes have issues with webpages crashing, namely this one. Only complaint, I just wish I had gotten the 1GB model.
Yeah, overreacted a little there. Of course Samsung is by no means better. Also, I don't know why you would want a super-expensive chip in a Smartphone. Won't need the power anyway. Still, why do they actually get the people to want those super-expensive phones anyway? Bragging rights?
but its paired with 1gb of ram, even mobile users are hitting that in 32 bit devices let alone the increased memory footprint of 64 bit now getting common
Couldn't live without a ThinkPad for long so I bought a new one... A Edge E420s, Specs: i5-2410M(2.3GHz), 4GB RAM, 320GB 7200rpm HD, 14in 1366x768 LCD, 2GB ATI Radeon HD 6630, CDRW/DVDRW, Intel 802.11bgn, wireless Bluetooth 1Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, Fingerprint reader, Camera, 4c Li-Polymer, Win7 Pro 64. I'm super psyched it has dedicated graphics, I can probably play beam on it with modest FPS, obviously I'm gonna have to wait a little longer to get my GTX 970 now buy hey, for £100, totaly worth.
My 6s is easily the most fluid device I've ever used. While it might not be worth $650 by itself it is worth the price over the competition. The camera is also incredible, though I wish the screen was 1440p. Am I explaining that poorly? --- Post updated --- Wait for polaris and pascal.
This is the better choice actually. Polaris is looking pretty awesome, if the leaked Pascal benchmarks are true it's also pretty good.
Thank's, hold tight for the MSATA SSD upgrade and maybe even a I7 if I can swap out the CPU! I think I'll wait for the next gen's gives me a chance to really save up my dosh and splurge on something pretty decent.
I've considered an i7 upgrade on my T420. Not worth it right now, but if I ever have some cash to spare I might do it along with 8GB RAM. Might upgrade the drive to an SSD first - since it's a work PC and some programs take a while to load from the 5400RPM drive. I don't need a lot of drive space so a 250GB should be fine. I love how upgradeable they are, with a quad core i7 and 8GB RAM it could last for another 4-5 years while still being cheaper than a new mid-range laptop. Also regarding the phone stuff. I've tried pretty much everything. S6, iPhone 6S, Nexus 6P, OnePlus. They are all awful. Spend a lot of money and you might get a nicer screen, or a better CPU (which you don't need). It's still a tiny screen with no proper input devices and a very limited OS. I'd rather carry around my 3kg Thinkpad wherever I might want anything other than a music player and google search.
