Yeah definitely Aussie although that version is exclusively sold over there.
The key differences being strengthened body, basic interior and custom seats for the police tool belts.

seen a black ~2012 Ford Explorer
Beside that they don't sell them in europe at all, just a curious import, nothing more, right?
    wrong.
It was rocking front and rear California plates, no czech import plates or anything
Doubt will see anything like this again.

On the topic of seeing things, i saw a Fisker Karma in a used car lot yesterday when we passed by in the car. I was very confused at first.
No pics because I don't have my phone.

I learned that you can actually put your car on a boat and drive overseas on US plates provided your insurance allows it (if not, just get an international policy). Your car must return to the states before your inspection expires however (unless you live in a state with no yearly inspections, then knock yourself out).

So I can ship my left hand drive civic to Japan and stunt hard as hell and steal all their girls with my USDM hotness and just get back on the boat when I've exhausted japan's supply of loose women and beer? it would go something like this. "Wow bro your taller than any other man in Japan right now, want to hit the touge?" I say yes and the sunglasses go on (I know it's night time so what).

Shit, count me in. I'll bring over the Acura RSX and touge run it and make all the girlies wet when they see something with a acura badge instead of a honda badge and all dat leather interior. Kek. Its all fun and games untill one us thinks its Initial D and uses the gutters on the mountain and dies.

yeah I can see that I guess. The way I'm building my credit, is just having a credit card, buying a soda on it once a month, and just making the tiny tiny payments.

Pontiac Sunbird. So USDM Japan has never heard of it. Insta coolness. (Which unfortunately would be pretty well cancelled out by the car's terminal understeer).

Ah the shenanigans that were had with a pair of 97 Cavaliers, $300 between both of them, both 2.2 automatics, the great part about them, was you could throw a 40 lb block of ice at the hood, and laugh about it. You could see how many .308 rounds the trunk latch can take before opening. Get a wild hair and decide to see if you can jump the creek with one, and then learn that it can't. Drag it out of the creek, leaving the radiator in the creek, and then go trail riding with it, without a radiator.

What was best was explaining to a cop why we were riding around in a 97 Cavie full of bullet holes and without a single straight panel and a plastic windshield.

I suppose I could go on, That all was with the black one, the white one didn't have a title, so it could never be put on the road, so it had it much worse. Crashing into trees just for entertainment, flying across a plowed field at 50, taking a corner too hot on the back trails, rolling it over, and leaving it there for two months. Then we flipped it back over and it fired back up and off we went again. We cut the exhaust off and ran a 6 ft piece of pipe with a 6 inch bullhauler tip through the hood. it refused to die until the diff exploded. Still ran, just couldn't move.

But seriously, some of my favorite cars are right there. Albeit I live in the U.S. and have absolutely no chance of touching these cars. It is just a waste. :(
