Too bad there aren't any in real life :/ By the way, found a very time effective way of smoothing the roads, so those are 99% smooth by now waiting for some tweaks... So...whatcha guys think? Alpha release with just the roads and forest once I get them done or do you want to wait for the full release/more advanced version?
Feedback is always a good thing. I would release it as ALPHA and see what people have for suggestions/bugfixes.
Well, I'm having some doubts with some corners, mostly hairpins, they are so hard to smooth... I might use a small mesh road section for those. By the way, some eyecandy:
I'm struggling to comprehend the meaning of this post. I'm assuming you mean to insult someone, but since you didn't specify a subject, I'm going to further assume that you are referring to the author of this thread. However, implying that the author of this thread is unhealthily obsessed with the land of the rising sun is not conducive to a friendly forum environment. Given that you have no hard evidence to substantiate your claim means you have stooped to petty name-calling, and name calling is considered an extremely childish act by many experts. [CITATION NEEDED] Furthermore, given that your post does not contribute to the topic and is misspelled, non-capitalized, and a fragment, I have enough information to logically conclude it is a shitpost. Please do not do that. OT: Nyan, do you have anymore screenshots to tempt us with?
your right its not a insult I mean theirs nothing wrong with liking japan a lot I think the forest are nice. --- Post updated --- you soun --- Post updated --- you soun --- Post updated --- sorry for what I said i can blame what I said on not having my medication. I leave you in peace.
What the... Well, I don't have much, really. Some fruitless attempts at smoothing some corners, made the forest and put the new texture on the roads. To be done: Whole village, many more railguards, more detailed forest, finish the port and lots of detail everywhere. This is how the level looks like right now: Progress is getting slower and slower, I hope I don't get stuck and release a half-assed version.
Hey man, it's okay.I believe it takes a big person to admit when they are wrong. I appreciate your honesty and I in turn apologize for my brutality in dissecting your post. I hope we can put this in the past and return to a friendly forum environment I hope you don't get stuck either, because it looks breathtakingly beautiful. Do you need beta testers?
I sense the inevitable arrival of map induced anxiety. Take your time! BeamNG and the community are going no where. If you feel you need to release your map sooner than later just make sure the things you are 100% good at are 100%. Leave the hunger to do more for further updates. I would do well to follow my own advice myself!
Not right now, there are just too many things to fix that I already know of, but thanks for the help, will tell you when/if I do.
Soooo, I've started working with Lumberyard today (Amazon's Cryengine rebrand) and its road making tools are pretty damn good. Since I want to release a quality product even if this is my first map, I will rework the whole map again using Lumberyard. This is the third time I start the map over so I'm sorry for making you guys wait for so long, but I think the change will be worth it.
