Funny trend I'm seeing here. http://beamng.com/members/joshtheawesome.132415 http://beamng.com/members/gigawert.124215/
Oh yay politics! Now I get to make even more people angry. I really don't like where this election is going, like, at all. It probably doesn't take much imagination to figure out that I'd identify as a Republican. However, I absolutely hate the idea of "President Trump" Uh, I even hate the way that sounds. I admit, when he started his campaign, I liked the way he sounded, to actually get things done, however, he was still Donald Trump. He has no idea what to do in the political world He is a hellacious hypocrite He'll do anything to make money Anyone remember a certain golf course in Scotland? He'll do a great job of getting us bombed into dust before we know what happened. Should I go on? Because I can. Next up, Bernie Sanders, I can't help but think of him as the uninformed little boy with good intentions, but doesn't realize that things aren't just that easy. Aaand, Then I think about it, And see stuff like the fact that he has basically manipulated people to get where he is now, which rubs me the wrong way, but, not to the same extend as Trump. So much so, that if it came down it, I'd vote blue if it came down to him or Trump. Hillary Clinton, That woman should be in Leavenworth, For more than a couple of reasons. Who I'd like to see in the Oval Office, would be Ted Cruz, yeah he's a tad "Church-ey" for me, but I'll take Church-ey over Crazy/Trigger happy or an uniformed old hippie. I dont feel like typing anymore.
Technically yes, though He didn't make that happen, though on the other hand He can turn events like that into net goods in surprising ways. Again, technically yes, see my previous post. And once again you miss the point. If you'll read what I said, you'll realize that it was pretty much the exact opposite of denying responsibility. As for the the rest of it, the vast majority of the time when someone argues that an idea is "archaic" or "outdated" or should be avoided because it's 2016, it's usually because they really have nothing better to fall back on than "argumentum ad populum", i.e. "x number of people couldn't be wrong". There are a few cases in which ideas simply are outdated, but this is not one of them. I think I found my next avatar.
From an outsiders perspective i think it would be quite a lot of fun to watch a Trump based America. Perhaps the rest of the world might get a grip and stop mirroring American politics. Which would be kinda nice. I imagine it would also lead to lots of rather hilarious news articles as well. So overall i would advise against it, but it could be interesting to watch.
Obama's presidency is already like a really long, really depressing version of the week where Friday never seems to arrive. Let's not drag it out any further by electing a different flavor of insufferability.
I think if I could rate the candidates of the US out of ten... Bernie would be a 3, Trump a 1, Hillary a -1 and everyone else is a very average 0. You guys seem to have a worse batch of politicians than we do in the UK. But I can't understand the reverence you have to these disgusting people, there's a fantastic tradition of disrespect and mockery we have in the UK toward our nation's elected leaders. I can't help but think that American culture and politics would be vastly improved by having contempt for even the politician you do support. but I'm ever amused at the prospect of ginger, fat prick with the toupe to end all toupe's being elected president.
Apparently it's not a toupee, though that doesn't rule out hair implants, or one heck of a comb-over. I, personally, would rate Cruz 7, Kasich 0, Trump and Sanders both -1 (though for different reasons), and Hillary -9001. Rand Paul would have been a solid 9 in my book, so of course he chickened out really early on.
I just frankly want it to be over because it's everywhere. It's my firm belief that America would be far less annoying if we still subjugated it, and gave it the name it rightfully should have as 'new England'. Entirely neutering it's ability to become a hyper bloated cultural pollutant. I can only dream though .
I think it would be nice to see far less of American politics in the UK. But in spending time on the internet it seems to be all i see about.
Now this thread is a religious and political argument. The whole world should just turn into Athiest Anarchists you guys are making it sound like. Atheism, yes. Anarchy, no. Agnosticism also works, it's a best of both worlds kinda thing (it's where I fall).
If Bernie loses to Hillary and Ol' Donny Trump wins the nomination then I firmly believe that the Libertarian Party will have its best election results ever with an actual chance of winning. All they need to do is make an ad saying, "Hey, do you really want Clinton or Trump? Vote for *insert name of candidate here* 2016."
Its wierd how you don't hear much about Chinas elections especially with their population size I guess its more interesting talking about some business man with a toupee then anything else.
