I just got battlefront on my laptop and I can play it on ultra settings with better FPS than with BeamNG Drive xD. Well, my CPU is only an I7 with 2.6GHz Quad core, so if it was faster, BeamNG Drive would run a lot better.

So like anything when do you think will be the time when it becomes obsolete?

Anyway consoles are (in my eyes) are designed to be made in large numbers and the components are designed to fit into a small space.
I can still agree on PCs being better then consoles.

That thing will probably be obsolete in like seven years or so. In like five overclocking would be a good idea though. If not sooner, I mean, the Lionlake CPUs (they're called that way, right?) will be quite a thing by themselves.

Console's are a cheap solution to expensive PC's, and you can't play a co-op game with the same PC since most developers don't do that ;(

Overclocking is a good idea right now, a 6600K matches the 5960X in gaming lol

Seriously you have no bloody idea what you are saying....your acting immature, Consoles are good but when it comes to sheer graphics horsepower they are lacking, they cannot run 4K yet, PCs can run 4K, I know the PS4 is coming with 4K soon but its likely going to be at 30FPS not 60FPS....

Okay, here's the thing people. Consoles and PC's are NOT EVEN IN THE SAME MARKET. They're NOT comparable and NOT meant for the same purpose. A PC is for when you want a really high quality experience for more money and time and you'll be sitting at home. A console is for you to quickly get a fun game going with your friends or maybe take around to your friend's house and have a fun competition. You're not lugging your PC over to your friend's house, setting up the approximate 5 or 6 cables and then getting connected to the WiFi there or a wired connection, then starting up the computer, then getting the game running, then finally sitting down to play when maybe you realize you forgot your keyboard or something... And you also aren't going to be sitting alone playing your console as a main device where you can do everything you want on it and where you can get the best possible experience. One device is geared towards quick, easy and fun gameplay, while the other is geared towards more complex, higher quality and also guess what... fun gameplay. They may both be able to play games, but it's like comparing a DS to a laptop. Not the same thing. They both fold shut, but that doesn't make them comparable. They aren't necessarily for different audiences either, they are simply meant for different scenarios as there are plenty of advantages and disadvantages to both that none of you have mentioned or even seemed to have considered.

Well yeah you can do that, but it's really more fun at that point to bring a nice console that's setup in a minute and can easily support many players on the same machine if wanted to make for significantly less power usage for the host as well as potentially lower bandwidth usage, less space taken up, less outlets in use, etc. 2 consoles vs 8 computers in power usage over several hours is HUGE. As well as all the extra monitors or TVs that come along with those computers.

But if a 10 year old pc like mine can run beam at 20 fps why shouldnt a console be able to do that?
