    No effect.

Possibly a dumb question, not sure how this works. Now that I've upgraded to windows 10, I have directx 12. From what I searched its ''backwards compatible'', but does this effect beamng? I'm just trying everything I can to get the game to work and ran a debug i found in the files but it says it requires directx 10/11? I doubt this is my issue due to my issue happening originally on windows 7 and upgrading to 10 didn't effect anything at all but just something I found.

CPU seems fine, it's something on the GPU looks like.

    And no, DirectX12 doesn't effect anything. BeamNG.Drive doesn't use DirectX12.
Windows 10 supports DirectX12, but if a game uses DirectX9, 10, 11, it will just work as fine.

Can you please check your 980ti is installed in the fastest PCI port on your mobo?
Try to set your PC powerplan to high-performance aswell.

I recall this being a common issues on certain 980ti cards. Google is full of similar reports on the Gigabyte cards.
At what resolution are you trying to run the game?
    Have issues on other games?

Put it on high performance, no change.

Resolution is currently set to 2560x1440 but I've tried them all at this point I'm just wanting to play the game but thats impossible at 13-15 fps. And its not even fully that it seems sluggish like the tires are on a delay for turning ect.

As far as other games go, no. I play WoW with maxed out settings, Besiege, Skyrim with insane amount of mods (Realvision enb and hold 50-60 fps in the most dense areas at 1440) and GTA V with all maxed ultra high settings. This is literally the only game that can even get my PC to lag lol. I've been googling like crazy to try and find an answer and have come up empty handed so far. Its frustrating but I'm not giving up.

As for the PCI slot that my GPU is in, its in the top one. I'm only aware of the bottom one on my mobo being an issue and thats only if you use the M2 plug or something. Other then that I was unaware of a speed difference in PCI slots?

    Is my mobo.

So I was attempting to use OBS and ran into another issue appearing to be my graphics card; same outcome lowered fps and choppy. I just posted on there but maybe the same underlying issue is effecting both situations. This is where my lack of knowledge is gonna come in and I don't fully understand how to fix/check this issue of if my GPU is using all 16 slots. I currently have my graphics card in the 2nd (middle of the 3 for my mobo) but from my understanding this should have no impact for my mobo/graphics combo. Would moving it up make any difference? I had it in the middle because it would be very very close to my cpu cooling

For some reason, your card is only running at x1 link width.
Move it to the top slot or try seeing if there's any settings in the BIOS for the PCI-E.

EDIT: Hold on... The slot you have the card in... Is it a short one or a long one? You should use one of the long ones.

    You have 6 PCI-E slots...

    YES, its working!!!!
60 fps - max settings, 1440 and streaming. Much better lol.

Ok yeah I do have more then I thought, I was going off memory and was thinking only the long ones, BUT! It was in a long pci and moving it up to the top one has fixed the problem holy shit guys I cannot thank you enough for the help. So stoked to finally be able to play, thanks again!!!!
