Does anybody play this? It's a great NFS game from 2007 that is actually on racetracks and has dozens of nicely detailed and highly customizable cars. Also, I would like to set up my Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 Italia wheel with it but it only lets me map keyboard controls so I'm stuck with that. :/
Yeah, I have this game on PS3 and now PC, although some levels don't work on PC and this was never patched as I recall. Customization, vehicle choice, sounds and graphics were all great on that game, although handling was sluggish and awkward. Overall though, my favourite NFS game.
I agree, this is one of my favorite NFS games of all time. It was so different from all the other games and yet, at the same time, was really familiar... and thats what made it awesome. I also think that this game had some of the best looking volumetric smoke that I have ever seen in a game... I think it would be awesome if one day we could have that in BeamNG as well.
That was the best NFS ever made. Great feeling, great cars, great customization, wonderful soundtrack, beautiful tracks, nice damage model, ok story...idk, I just love it. Why can't they make ProStreet 2? But please without GhostGames :|
Yeah everything about this game is amazing, but I agree with you that the steering is a little wonky.
Maybe if I figure out how to use my steering wheel with this game (Google can't help), the Chevelle or the Charger won't seem so much like driving a bus. --- Post updated --- Some more screenshots: That picture was my first Grip car, a 240SX and it was pretty gutless.. My new Grip car, a '69 Charger R/T, isn't a whole lot faster w/o any modifications to the blueprint but it looks better, sounds better (not like a tuner Dodge Neon), and is bigger (for smashing opponents ) My Plymouth Roadrunner for Drift mode. Went too fast in this picture and totaled my car.
I love this game . However, ( I know this comment is going to be complained ) I want an NFS game like this but with ..... freeroam .
Yeah it's a pretty bad port, every time I start it, it runs at 640x480 and lowest graphics, plus a few races always lock up once finished. Also, I played the snot out of this game on PS3, so I know which cars are best for each discepline, which turns the game into a grind effort to upgrade the e46, the charger, the r34, and the rx7.
...I just got the game for PC haven't tried it yet though, that would have been nice to know a few weeks ago...
* by that I mean it runs at 640x480 lowest every time I boot the game, I have to reset the graphics to 1920x1080 and highest settings every time. No worries, it's not that broken... sorry for any distress I may have caused!
Last I saw that game was on the PS2 and my memories remember it looking kinda like Grid looks. Have not played it after that and that is such a shock to me that it doesn't look better.
Well just going by what I saw just looking at videos on youtube [not very good videos I must admit] and the two images provided. Items off the track have lq textures, Crowd looks near 2d, The cars don't fit really well quality-wise onto the tracks nor the menus. The in race hud also doesn't look near as good as the nfs before it but that is personal ofc. My opinion I've nothing else to say as I don't like getting into discussions alot.
Those screenshots aren't terribly representative of the graphics. At highest settings at 4k, it's glorious. No, the graphics are actually pretty great. Away from gaming pc right now, so I can't show any of my screenshots, but they look a hell of a lot better. The crowd is better, the reflections are mirror-precise, the skybox and landscape are vivid and detailed, etc.
