going by the above, I'd actually say yes, but I would not recommend it. That is just asking for thermal throttle.

Its holding approx 100W within 20c of room temperature without ramping its fans up to full.

What the hell even is this 220W-nonsense? Why would anyone bring out a freaking 220W-CPU? Especially if there's next to no heatsink able to handle it?

Should clarify mine is setup differently from some.

I have the fan on the front of the cooler serving in a pull configuration. In the back of my case and almost 100% perfectly inline with the cooler is a corsair AF120 setup as an intake and to the top a generic 120mm bitfenix fan as intake. My case uses the PSU in a front mounted configuration and I use that as the exhaust. Airflow configuration as a result is pretty radical compared to standard and may even contribute to the way this thing stays ice cold.

Random question: More-or-less-neutral or positive pressure when we're talking about 6 fans, one of them 14cm? Didn't quite get that part of the LTT-video.

I made my 212 handle an FX-6100, and it was more than capable. I wouldn't trust it with a 9000 series though.

So you say positive is always better? Good to know.
Well the 6000-series isn't THAT big of a deal. Barely over 100W, and there are i7s sucking more power than that.

Welp, the new computer (take 2) arrives tomorrow. The company has installed earlier drivers, because it turned out the faulty drivers had actually destroyed the Graphics.

So I have a 4790k and a 980 ti and yet I still couldn't run this game at 60 fps all of the time. Full spec list in Sig.does anybody know why this is.

Turn down dynamic reflections, they're impossible to max out.

Otherwise, it's not your fault. The game needs a lot of optimization and performance improvements. The next update should bring some performance improvements as I recall.

Ok, so I was reminded of this question when I saw Dudeman's screenshot in general discussion:
I have an AMD Phenom ii x4 965 quad core CPU, with Radeon HD 6800 graphics, and 3.25 gb of usable RAM (and am running 32 bit windows 10). If I upgraded to 64 bit (this processor is 64 bit comparable) and got my total up to 8 Gb of Ram, would my BeamNG performance be decent?

open task manager. If you are maxing out all 3.25gb RAM being used, then yes you might get a boost. Otherwise 0 impact from RAM alone.

The engine itself is optimised to be running on 64 bit though so it might still be worth looking at, and its easy to max 3.25gb of ram.

Given my experience, Beam really likes ram. Especially with big maps, If you have 8 gigs of ram I would recommend upgrading anyways, just to fully utilize your computers capability's.

Yeah, I think I'm maxing the ram out; the game crashes occasionally because of a lack of memory, and I can't open ECUSA, JRI, DRI, or Hirochi raceway. But would adding ram give me much of a performance boost other than being able to run those maps?

Well I tried running the game on that CPU. It was... kinda awful actually.

i have that cpu and my performance is just fine. this game performs very inconsistently from user to user. some have better luck than others in a world of 1s and 0s were luck should not be a factor, but such is the life of a grassroots game.
