So I'm working on something for the ETK 800. But how does the badge system work of the ETK 800? I open the texture files with paint.net and it shows 1 image of different badges, like 854 and 856 etc, but how does the game read 856 as 856 on 1 image?

A part of the badge is UV wrapped onto the mesh. And each badge has its own mesh. Most of the times these meshes are just flat planes.

I know badges have their own mesh, but how do you UV wrap something onto the mesh?

If you created a new mesh you need to select the faces and press "U" in blender. And several options to unwrap. The first option should do since its a flat mesh. In the image editor you can move the unwrapped UV to the correct position.
