Yeah, but this isn't some brand new hatchback... At best, this is an 80's car which at the time airbags or any other instances that weren't mandatory at the time.
But he is right, doors dont pop open that easy, even in old cars. (And this is something that's present in the official cars). If i'm not blind in the whole video just one hatchback popped its door open (After crushing the roof completly). But hey, just the 2:55 clip says a lot.
Yes, but, my point being, the car isn't exactly finished. The door's a known bug. Regardless of the actual CRX that this is based on, I find it hard why this has been brought up for a car that crumples like paper in the first place.
And? You should scroll down a bit and read the About us. Ok, but you first said it wasn't a new car, when even must old cars dont behave like that. I know this is wip and the problem itself originates from the original car. Every car does that. Even the ETK if you make it crumple like in the video: http://prnt.sc/aw2ebc
But does it even matter that the door detaches upon a collision? It's a compact econobox as far as anyone else concerns, I mean, it's not a fucking tank is it? Pardon my french, but why is it such a problem?
We're talking about the door popping open, detach is way worse, it doesn't matter if it is a Econobox or a tank, doors donĀ“t behave like that, it's not realistic at all, even in cars that bend like paper (Actually if you try to replicate the crashes in the video, you will find that the covet is actually STRONGER than those cars, and yet the door pops open xd).
Does it really matter if a door pops open during a freaking 40 mile-an-hour crash? You people need to go outside some more and not argue over a stupid point that nobody else cares about
Well man, that actually makes me sad that you dont care about it. To be honest I actually don't pay much attention to it, there are top priority problems like the sticky physis (Which I wouldn't be surprised if you also dont care about it) I'm arguing just because some are trying to downplay it, that's it. I'm pretty sure more people care about it: http://www.beamng.com/threads/suggestion-door-lock-improvments.8256/ And by the way this isn't only 40 mile hour crashes, it happens a lower speeds and in the stupidest rollovers, if you don't care about it, then fine. But it is true and can be demonstrated in many ways.
The point is, no one in this thread can do anything about it, and no one wants to hear about in this thread. Go complain about it elsewhere
