The lack of grip is due to the damage model, everything bounces. In other games they do not have the car bouncing all over the place.
Valid. I still say that is the reason why we feel like we have no grip, when the tyres have grip but we cannot use it due to bounciness of the whole car flexing every microsecond. Something like 2000 times per second and we still feel lack of grip? absolutely mental.
I only opened this page to ask a question: where can I find the wheels.jbeam files for the sbr? Thanks for answering!
you have to find the spot in the Jbeam that has the name of the tyres that you want to change ingame. for example 255/40/19 sport compound tyre
Tires do seem a bit unrealistic. My grandma has a car similar to the sunburst (both fwd, have traction, etc). They have the same tires and size wheel and stuff, and i push the throttle 50% on it and it doesnt spin. I get a engine with about the same power, push 50% (i have a g27 wheel so i can simulate it) and it looses grip with traction. Then i take a turn at 40 (not sharp) in hers and no slide. I go in the sunburst at the same ammount for the turn, same speed, and go into a tree.
I own a stage 2 supercharger Barstow with the biggest engine and i need some way to keep my car under control when i am not dragging. Also the drag wheels dont look good!Have any ideas?
Yea most people drive with a key board thus limiting the control. Then kids think cars aren't grippy since they got the most powerful car and are try do some nfs bullshit
Yea I dont floor it and my driving experience with it was getting really boring after going on half throttle in slidy circles everywhere. And yes it cant go in a straight line...
Well, then you're plumb out of luck. Have fun trying to drive something -That's meant to be used with tires the size of Texas, I might add- on normal street wheels. Grip isn't gonna happen unless you find an all-powerful genie and wish for magical tires or feather the throttle like your life depended on it, which it very well might.
Just drove a lap around hirochi raceway with the nightsnake(stage 2 supercharged barstow on racing(not drag) tires) on keyboard with little to know effort, yes it has enough power to spin its wheels in 3rd but it isnt hard to control, I'd go as far as to say its easier to manage than the base model covet.
