Full marks on grammar, congratulations! As for your idea, I'll pass. Most machines can't even handle one car properly, imagine how resource intensive 8-12 cars and a ball would be. Even the high-end rigs would be struggling at that point. Also, when vehicles collide with each other (or for that matter anything), They have a rather alarming inclination to stick to the subject of their collision. AI would be another issue. Currently the AI is only sophisticated enough to rush toward the ball with absolutely no sense of self-preservation. While 7 car pile-ups may be fun at first, the does undermine the scenario a tad.
The only way that could be viable right now would be some kind of "put the ball on the goalpost as many times as you can in x time" solo scenario Maybe could spice things up a little adding obstacles around the field, like spinners and crushers, maybe even a truck trying to ram you, I don't know.
No we can't. At least not solo+AI because the AI has no semblance of strategy besides 'launch self at ball at high speed'. The only way 2v2 would possibly work right now is in multiseat.
Okay, I just have to ask, Has anyone played Halo custom edition, 2001? If so, then have you ever seen the community map "Haloball" It is like soccer, but with Warthogs; Haloball map. I just had to say, this reminds me of that. More on topic though, eventually it would be cool, when computers are more advanced, If online multiplayer servers existed where you could play different games with the Beamng soft body physics engine. Games like CTF with D15's, demolition Derbys, Covet Football, "Tag". . . Obviously todays PC's could not handle that, but who knows what the future holds. . .
There is a ball mod (prop), but without any A.I you can't really have any sort of ... fun. i think this will be a feature near the end of the development stream. i'm starting to wonder if that will ever be fixed!
