The Civot I think it's called, has a lot of speed but the steering is kind of unrealistic in my perspective. I play with the xbox controller and even tilting the analog stick just a tad will make the car spin out. Anyone else find this very irritating? Or am I the only one who is bothered by this?
i dont car for that bit its the horid way gabe set up the transsmissin i have to use the 5 speed manual when the game in auto and the 4 speed atuo when the game in manual or the axel just benst and dose nothing do you get this
(imported from here) the car is RWD and has alot of power. Its just something to get used to. you don't have steering help and steering lines in beamng.
I am pretty sure OP is talking about the Civetta Bolide (Civot = Civetta). The Covet has no problem with steering and is one of the easiest cars to drive.
Gabe said somewhere that they found a problem with the way the wheels were balanced (the tyre tread was too heavy, putting the wheel's center of mass out too far) and now that they've fixed it all of the cars handle better. EDIT, found it! http://www.beamng.com/threads/3151-Covet-Turbo-U-Turn-beaking-axle?p=35567&viewfull=1#post35567
The steering isn't unreallistic, the fact that you're flooring an 80's italian supercar with rear wheel drive and expect it to stay straight is unreallistic.
MY huge issue with this is you cant take it sideways for more than a few hundred feet over a couple corners without the steering breaking completely -_- otherwise i absolutely adore this car!
Here's a way to fix it: don't drive it flat out. Don't jam the throttle down. This car isn't supposed to be easy to drive. If you drive it right, it's possible If that doesn't work, get one of these: http://www.beamng.com/threads/3717-Bolide-FT40 (engine's a bit too powerful, though) http://www.beamng.com/threads/3682-...-Rally-Gymkhana-v1-1-(now-with-stock-engine!) (use the stock engine AWD version)
