I found the first version of Beamng ! ... but I need help !

Hello !

I found my old computer lost in my attic, so because I have not use it for 3 years now, I was curious to know what there was on it.

Aaaaaaand after try 1 hours to make it work because Vista. I finally launch it, and I found the luncher for the first release Beamng version (0.3x) !
...But I lost the key :/ I was thinking it would be the steam one, but no...

So I don't really know if I can ask my before steam key ?
I would love to play the first version, and I'm sure other people would love to get it (I see many people which would love to get it ^^)
So if someone have a solution !

 

they key was only needed for the installer to run, the installer that physically cant run anymore as the server it checked the key against doesnt work anymore. You're stuck.

the original tech demo still works, everything was so different back then.

Anyone remember when the parking brake couldn't hold vehicles well on slopes?

 

You never know if your parking break was on, and you could drive around with it x)

 

Why a blank message ?

 

I'm fairly certain the original installer had a bug in it that would let you complete the installation by just clicking Cancel on the key entry screen.

Just run the executable from the install directory,

 

I remember YBR would leave the parking brake on cause he forgot, and then the update came out and made it stronger. And then he wondered why the car was struggling....

Where did you buy the game from?
Cause if it is from the source that beamng stopped using, then you can request a key or something like that. There is a forum post on this. I think it's buried deep in the tombs of the beamng drive wiki.

If you got it from FastSpring. Go to the beamng drive support. If off humble bundle, idk. If off steam, I still don't know.

If you can get it to work, please upload videos of it. I'd love to see old version again (besides looking at old YBR videos)

Whoops, my post was quoted that's why I responded lol no problem.

(I tried the cancel method, it doesn't work (well at least for me, the full game is installed but there is no exe.)

 

Don't worry, has probably happened to everyone at one point.

 

I don't really remember where I buy it, it was the next day after he came out (I remember on France it was like 1 hours AM and I was waiting for the first video of the community and I probably don't slept of the night x) ) , for sure it wasn't on steam. But if I could make it work, I would love to give the launcher on the forum (If the staff is Okay)

 

I am pretty sure it was off of FastSpring so try contacting beamng drive support team
