MASSIVE BUMP! Sorry to sound like a noob, but is this thing close to being released? The civilian versions look finished to me.
Yes, its now completely finished because you bumped the thread (not even going to bother with you JoshTheAwesome) But no, really its actually done, it just needs jbeam work, the mesh is 100%. What isn't however, is my free time. I have both college and modelling work outside of BeamNG to attend to so I get no time to work on it and even if I did I'm honestly not super motivated to work on it at the minute. So yeah that's what happened and until I'm happy enough with the Jbeam to release it, it wont come out.

It's funny you spent so long complaining about everyone else's jbeams and then it turns out your own jbeam is the downside. And seeing how long it's taken you it doesn't look you have much more of an idea what you're doing than anyone else.
Um, well I haven't seen you before so I'm guessing you've been gone for a while. Well let me tell you I have a life outside of modding BeamNG you know, college, working as a game dev etc. The reason my jbeam is the weak point currently is because I haven't been working on it for ages, infact I've been incredibly on and off working on this project which I've said a million times if you read the thread. Also note the one stark difference being I haven't just released this thing as a jelly car and called it a day, unlike some. There is nothing wrong with criticism. No idea, it'll come out when its done.
If it wasn't for your generally unpleasant attitude over the years I wouldn't feel the need to post here, but it seems you have used this project mainly to elevate your status rather than as something you are actually going to release. And I believe your criticism is because you enjoy it, not because it's constructive.
it takes time for great things, everyone should think about what they post. For one it gets tiring seeing people beg for vehicles, the more you beg the less likely the mod author will release. So for future reference just quit begging and asking for release date. yes this has been a long time but if a mans busy he is busy so leave it at that. its also not like he is getting paid for his work here so just lay off please.. other than that the car looks fantastic VeyronEB keep up the good work when you feel like it
For the record, I've been the one doing a ton of Jbeam work on this thing in the first place. It was a huge learning experience for me to attempt such a large project, and in the end the quality of parts of the jbeam ended up being mediocre. That's why the JBeam is a downside. Someday, unless @VeyronEB decides he wants to do an attempt at JBeaming parts, I still want to try and do a proper Jbeam for this project. For you to say he is using this project to elevate his status is complete and utter disrespect on your part.
People need to understand, they have lives too, they don't just at a computer 24/7 working on a car, like me. I have school, I have friends, I have family, not to mention you can't just make a car overnight. I tried to make a Pessima 2-door, but I know literally nothing about blender. Let me ask you this, would rather wait for a finished mod that is perfect, or receive a mod that's unfinished and sloppy? Also, everyone has their own pace. Someone like gabester, who's benn doing stuff like this for over 10 years, is going to be faster than someone that just learned how to make it.
I really could care less about status, this is just a hobby and I find it pretty fun to do. I could keep this thing private for the rest of my life if I wanted it wouldn't change the fact that I only made it for fun. If I was doing it for "status" releasing it and posting a lot more pictures regularly would surely be the way to get more attention, no? I can't really even think of any posts that I've made recently that could even be considered "unpleasant" but alright.
Guys. VeryonEB has not posted any update pictures for a long time. And he's been browsing the forms a lot lately. This shows that he's no longer working on them on because he is not been busy because of the time spent on the forms. By the end of June it'll be three years working on this mod. It doesn't even take this long to develop an official vehicle and if the car is this complex it'll kill every computer when it is loaded. It takes to developers up to two months to make a vehicle even know he has a busy schedule it should only at least take a year. Three years is just ridiculous. I doubt that this is going to be ever finished. Because he is browsing the fourms a lot lately like I said and no progress on mod

man come on. he's doing this for free. the devs get payed to make cars. Veyron just makes them in his spare time, and making a quality model takes a lot of time.
Would rather wait for a highly detailed mod that is perfect in every way, or a sloppy mod that makes the Volksfagen look like an official vehicle? Just asking.
Nope, I could have done it in two months but I don't have time to do that as I have other things to be doing and even if i didn't I dont want to make a day job out of making mods, its just a thing I do for fun. Also worth noting its not been 3 years, the basic shell of the car sat around on my PC with only small changes for a year easy so the first couple of years were super slow. It is being worked on here and there and it will be finished.
