So today i was sitting at home, the weather is bad and there's nothing to do as my computer s being upgraded so i went to the basement and dusted an old computer, the one i used a while ago. After spending a few hours to update the os to windows 7. The once loved computer perform pretty well. Until i tried to play BeamNG Drive. The moment i tap the aceleration, the computer just over heat then shut down... I got my experience now: Leave the old one alone. Have any of you tried to do this?
Yep I tried this with a 2.26 Ghz Dual core Intel with 2GB ram and I was waiting BeamNG to load and my CPU Fan Went nuts before the it just shut down and didn't turn back on, RIP PC. At least I've got my newer one.
My old one has the same stats with you. It had some upgrades a while ago (Graphic card, water cooling system, upgraded fan...) before i remove them to throw into my current one
My current one has a 7 fan cooling system AMD-8350 FX 8GB RAM Radeon 2250 card, idk much about it, soon to be upgraded to a GTX 1080, 750W modular PSU MSI 970 board and 500gb ssd + 240gb ssd for expandable. --- Post updated --- Whats your specs?
Wait, what???? That's nearly identical to my current stats. The only difference is that i have 500gb + 300gb ssd for expandable... Edit: Also have a 1TB transcend portable hard drive (it print StoreJet 25M2 on the box) plugged to it 24/7
Holy crap, like how close, and wow, what settings do you play BeamNG in, I play mine in Low with anti aliasing but sometimes add HDR for smoke.
i play in normal graphics setting I bought one at the computer hardware store yesterday mornig. The salesman says it's a GTX 1080... So maybe it's the real deal or i got fooled... And steam install for the old one goes like 1 hour 30 mins and 45 seconds. According to what i remembered
I said SOON to be upgraded. Not UPGRADED All I need to do is go to MicroCenter a couple days after it comes out. Bruh, Read The whole sentence. It also comes out in 2 or so days
Have played BeamNG on a computer with Intel Duo E7500(CPU) and Intel G41(GPU) for almost a year, can only run grid map 12fps with all-lowest settingXD, it's kinda stable except sometimes blue screen That computer isn't really old though, also only 6 years old
im currently playing it with my e6600 and my 750ti at high settings with 1 car at 50fps woth collision turned off at gridmap ecu is at 20-30fps and utah 20fps also im surprised how well it goes for a 10 year old pc with a newer graphics card
you got fooled or as your reputation in these forums suggests are a liar as they are not on sale anywhere, --- Post updated --- it's more like 3 weeks from launch. Not 2 days
My fist pc I had, had an Intel core 2duo with 2.4Ghz, 1.5 GB RAM and an Nvidia GeForce 7500 LE .. I still had it when I discovered Beam, But had a GTX 260 back then.. I tried to run BeamNG with the old 7500 but it got roasted :/ RIP 7500LE
what is it with all these bullshit stories. Yes BeamNG is demanding, but a PC that cant run the game simply lags. It doesnt literally burn up, thats why computers since the 90s had thermal shutdown, nor should a computer on 100% load (even an old one) get hot enough for a thermal shutdown. Even then, they arent a combustible material and dont produce enough heat to literally go up in flames. I ran the game on a 10 year old PC, guess what, no fire, no smoke, sure it got warm and ran at all of 2fps, but that was it.
yes my 9 year old laptop works great with beamng just instal tiny 7 on the pc its a faster windows that uses lot less ram
not true since i got an old pc here that whent in flames when i launched a heavy benchmark also it was a amd
yes true. Literal only way for it to catch flames is because a) you set it on fire or b) it had things like wood shavings in there which are more likely to cause fire. You will not find a PC that has self combusted without external factors. CPU load alone physically cant do it.
