adding scratches/scuffs to paintwork when damaged

    It would be great it after "trading paint" with other vehicles, scrapes along walls or skidding on the roof after overturning the car, the paintwork becomes heavily scratched to add a new level of realism.

    after a devastating crash sometimes when you look at your vehicle and see the beautiful glimmering reflections as if the car was just driven out of the showroom, it just doesn't quite feel right. it would be great if developers could find a way to tarnish the paintwork or reduce the shine to the paintwork once the cars have been driven for a while, i'd love to see my rally car looking dusty and dirty after a good race covered in scratches!

    that would be almost impossible in my eyes to implement

    it is possible currently with deform groups or something like that(i dont know if thats what its called, though i think it its). i have done it, and it worked semi ok.

    sadly i have next to no idea how the graphics are made with the physics so it would be a problem for the designers to solve, i'm sure someones thought of it, but i've never seen it written or mentioned anywhere so thought i'd post in here to see if anything can be done about it.

    Dynamic decals. Been discussed before, entirely possible, is on to-do list, low priority.
