    Hi

I'm a newcomer to BeamNG, just bought it yesterday and have a few questions regarding AI. Apologies if these questions have been asked before, but i've done a pretty thorough (IMO) search and didn't find anything.

    1) I noticed that when i set it to "random" (in the AIControl), it drives roads just fine, but for some reason randomly reverses on a straight road. Is that how it's supposed to be, or is it a bug? If it's a feature, can it be disabled in the future? Like, have an option of never reversing, unless there is no way forward and it has reached a dead end?

    2) Is it possible to get an AI to follow random roads within a specific set of roads? (i.e. one car randomly drives only mountain roads, another - only highways, etc)

    3) Is there a way to make an AI follow a path (road) along a set of waypoints? Think "patrol" routes from other games.

    4) Is the AI scriptable?

    1) Work in progress

2/3) Nope, it's only random at the moment

    4) Depends. Some scenarios uses AI to follow specific routes (see the 'Intersection' scenarios for example)

Nadeox is there a set time or deadline when the AI will be updated to the next level?

    We can't set a date.
AI is always evolving as the game updates, and there will always be room for improvements (hence you can't define an 'end' for it)
