I did some research and found this mercedes benz AMG GLE63 S suv 2.619tons bmw x5 xdrive50i 2.575tons land rover discovery sport 1.927tons
If it's roughly the length of the 800, it'd probably be more like the x3 than the x5. The x3 weighs 1755kg (dry) with the 20i 4 cylinder engine, and 1945kg with the 35d 6 cylinder diesel engine according to the BMW website. So around 1900kg for the top of the range model seems reasonable. I do wonder where the person above with the many many 1s got his information from though, as my quick google search shows all of the cars he mentioned weigh about 300kg less than he said.
Alright, since it's more x3 than x5 (the x3 and 3er have the same wheelbase, and I think the 800 is more likely to be based on the 3er), I'll just keep it at it's 1915.72kg (l6) for now. Once there is a beta and people who have actually driven a SUV give feedback, it could be improved. It drives as I would expect it from a modern SUV, but it's also a lot of fun with the comfort struts since it sometimes tips over in a corner and I have no idea why . Also, sadly I can't release it, it's too shy
Grip roll maybe? Definitely needs the license plate way farther up. Also the taillights kinda look terrible, maybe a chrome stripe and some rearrangement? Not exactly like this...
If he were to design it off of that it would need a much lower trunk.(hopefully trunk is the right word)
I think so , I tried to just apply the edge Split modifier which looked worse then before but I try this Method with a mix of it ; thanks for the tip.
Just put a chrome stripe on it, that should fix everything I'll put the license plate up on the tailgate, donno where to put the logo then though...hmm, let's see how it looks tommorow. Exactly, that's one big problem I couldn't see - what would my mods be without you... Also, that would fix the space problem with the badge and the plate probaby.
Compared with a x3, this is how it should look like ( the number plate, and the rear bumper ) I've added the chrome bar as a bonus :3
Try a 55 degree with the edge split, it works great for me. I can't remember where but i believe it was mentioned that in between 50 and 60 and I've been using 55 since
pretty satisfied with the final result inspired by the 037 Stradale Olio Fiat Livery, someone knows why i put that number?
The UV mapping took a while, but hopefully you guys can appreciate how nicely the planks of wood line up
that is amazing. Really nice work! i have always wanted to see something like this in beamng, but lacked the skill to do it.
