We plan for it to be dynamic, so different parts of the car will get different amounts of dirt depending on your driving.

Here's a couple of beauty shots; I've improved the reflective behavior of all the cars a bit.

Something about those pictures makes me want to violently destroy every hope and dream those cars ever had of not being sent to the scrapyard.

Completely unedited shot from inside the D15 showing just part of the Abandoned Industrial Site map:

And a pic of the Grand Marshal drifting:

    *Gasp*

That's shot with the D15 is brilliant! I take it that's not the final vehicle testing lab as you said it would be more set up like a real testing lab...? Still looks mad if it is though, we're gonna have so much fun with those silly ramps!

And err, I noticed a "Lo" and "Hi" thing on the dash of the D15.... Are you guys secretly planning something?... ^_^

The reflections are really nice too, needs a bit more "brightness" in the sky I think though, as was said before. But I can't really say anything about that since it's still WIP...

Also I have a little question, I don't think it's worth making a whole thread about it but... Do you think it's possible for us to create maps with, say, the Far Cry 3 or Crysis 3(if it has one) map editor, and then load those maps in BeamNG? Since they might use the same file formats? I find those kinds of map editors much easier to use and it's still possible to create something half decent with them...

nice but i see that the smoke is only coming out at the bottom end of the rear tires. i hope you make the smoke more like in gta 4. when doing a burnout the smoke coveres the whole wheel .
i hope you get what i mean.

    how it should look

By test site I mean it's the map we use to test vehicles and objects on, not a test lab like one in the real world where cars are tested.

It's designed to provide similar situations and types of crashes as you might find on other terrains all in a small area to make testing easier, and it loads very quick:)

A nice view from inside the D15 atop a bridge looking across the island:

And a D15 looking a little worse for wear during a thrash through some tough rocks:

    B-e-a-uutiful!
To be honest, this is a much higher standard of work on the vehicles than I thought was going to be done. I'm very happy about this.
The terrain looks pretty delicious at the moment. Some of those trees and rocks are calling my name at about.. 80km/h.

Especially that last screenshot is beautiful. The 3d rocks should be great fun to mess around with in all sorts of cars that aren't suitable to the terrain. And after studying the first screenshot closely I noticed something: Holy *beep* *beeping beep* *beeperbeebbeeb* *beep-on-a-cracker* that island is big O.O

Great works guys, honestly. I can't wait to get my hands on a playable version.
