Could we get another variable, that'd give us mesh roads shaped like this? /XXX\ XXX = body of the mesh road, versus [block] with square edges? I mean, if you's have incorporated mesh roads with straight edges, why not tapered ones. Sure, mesh roads should be forbidden to be used as roads, they make better walls, bridge beams, k-rails, etc. We still NEED the straight-walled ones, but having sloped ones too - I mean, how many lines of code would that be? Recommended to make it a new class like 'tapered mesh road' or something. This way it doesn't mess up and make maps incompatible or something. It'd only need one more field, like "bottomwidth" or something that would control how tapered the edges are. There are points where mesh roads make sense, sometimes. Though, I do fully agree, maps should be based mostly on decal roads. I sure could make some great k-rail or jersey barrier with it though. LOVE THE NEW EDITOR FEATURES!!! Remember, while the editor isn't a high priority - look what user-content did for Doom (original in 1993). Doing anything and everything to help users make content is always a pro-bono - even if it's not priority #1. I DO understand most people won't use the editor and they DID pay for the GAME itself, though. --Just a thought. --Cheers!
I would rather have the ability to use a custom mesh. It would be nice to have a road with sidewalks from a custom mesh.
You can already - that's what they did in East Coast to make the town. The entire town floor is a custom mesh. I suppose you could copy out sections of that already.
No, the town roads are a static mesh. What i mean is to have a custom mesh for the mesh road which can be bent and curved.
