Setting up a CH Flight Sim Yoke and Pro Pedals (the closest I have to a proper racing wheel)

    Hey!

Today I downloaded the V2 Techdemo for BeamNG in an attempt to test my computer hardware and inputs (thought I'd take advantage of the Steam sale to try out the game).

However, when I opened the game and the console, instead of coming up with the usual input device information, all it says is:

unknown0 input device NOT acquired: Unknown error

Can anyone tell me what is causing this issue (the game being unable to even detect my controllers, let alone set up key bindings for them). I am aware that, since I am using Flight Sim equipment, it may not even be possible to set it up at all, even though I have used them to play other games (Richard Burns' Rally, etc.) and they are appearing in Control Panel, with all inputs functioning correctly.

    Thank you!

Well, I believe you insert this with a USB cable... so when you insert this, you should get a notification on your computer. Then select other hardware or something like that. But, the BeamNG.drive bindings are set up for an X-box controller, so you may have to make custom bindings in the BeamNG.drive folder. I don't know how to do this myself, but you may want to copy the code of the second control input, name it "controller1" and then find the name of each part on the control stick you have. Change the names of the inputs that you want, and then in game go into controls and select the controller1 settings you just made. You may need the full game to do so though.

I take that back. Open the game, place your yoke in the usb port, go into controls and add the bindings under the panel.
If you go into hardware you should have your yoke there. My CH eclipse yoke works fine. You just have to make some input bindings right in the game. Let me know if you need further help!! Also let me know how it turns out!!

    Thanks for the reply!

I can't find any of these options in the controls menu, but I am using the V2 techdemo - do I need to download the full version for this to work?

Please note that you probably want to remove the extra bindings, such as XAxis (in the video they are assigned to steer to the right and to the left at the same time), or ZAxis (assigned to two conflictive bindings too, so it may or may not do what you want).

Dude that's amazing, thank you so much! I'll get it all installed and tell you how it goes!

On a side note, you should really make tutorial videos, you know your stuff!
