Working on a "Polizei" skin for the Roamer.


Should I make the text on the doors bigger ?

 

I think that looks good, but is there some kind of emblem you could include on the rear doors? Or perhaps some of that stripy trim pattern that is on the ETK polizei skin?

Well, I don't know, since I'm tring to reproduce the old "white and green" that many Polizei vehicles had in the nineties.
Also, I searched some pictures, and it seems that German police cars from that time weren't as flashy as now. There was no special symbol, only the "POLIZEI" text and the green parts.

All those three cars have the green and white livery, but they don't seem to have other things like logos. Also, I don't think I will modify the text, since those cars' "Polizei" text is only written on the front doors.

 

Oh, you are trying to re create something specific, I understand now. That livery would be good on the old Pessima as well then.
OT:

Making realistic dirt and rust is more difficult than I thought.

Yes, but that doesn't mean that the German police never had 4WD vehicles (like the Roamer).

Aso, I took the Roamer because we haven't any other SUV/4x4 vehicle in the game. It also features a blue lightbar, which is nice since the vehicles used by the Polizei have blue lightbars.

 

Aww yes. pushrod front suspension, connected to my tube frame. I took the rear suspension of the sbr4 and stuck it on the front of the sunburst. then added steering.

A Ibishu 200BX Diesel? Why not (WIP)

 

As if i hadnt supplied a torque curve to another modder for a 200BX diesel engine within the last week or 2. New mesh and all

 

This torque curve is from my own (modified pigeon diesel engine with modified ETK turbos), new transmisions for this engine and also the dashboard is new, most of the actual diesel mods keeps the petrol dashboard, which is a bit odd.
