I hope you realise that without the police, you'd be in fear for your life and for the rest of your life. What do the police do? Stop crime. What is crime? Crime is illegal activity. Why is illegal activity illegal? Because it's wrong. Murder is wrong, as is theft, kidnapping, etc. Without police, the only thing to stop and prevent crime is goodwill and social norm. Goodwill isn't as common as it should be, and tends to fall apart when anarchy takes over. That leaves social norm. Looking at history, especially Hitler's rise to power, it can be concluded that social norm can be easy to change. Without the police, and the rest of the criminal justice system, and, really, government, what's to stop someone from killing you because he thinks you stole something of his? Nothing.
Bootlickers like you are why they get away with treating us like garbage with total impunity. Not in new York City they arent. There is a reason I don't pull over after the sun goes down.

Sometimes government can become corrupt, *Cough* and it no longer protects the rights of the people, it suppresses them. Police are people too, they can also have flaws. If it's night time I don't pull over any more. You want to harass me at the side of the road? Spend more of my tax money on fast police cars pig.
You must be doing something wrong if you get constantly harassed by police. If you give respect you get respect, I have never had a bad experience being pulled over or stopped by the police because I gave them respect and owned up to my mistakes. I have walked/driven away from every experience I have had with a police officer and have never gotten a ticket. So if you play stupid games you will win stupid prizes.
Yeah I am doing something wrong. I drive a modified Honda and that puts a huge target on my back. They assume I'm up to no good because I drive a low car and I have the power to not have them force their way into my vehicle against my will. All that and I'm white, I can only imagine how bad the minorities get it those poor fellows.
Loud exhaust? Some cops will go after you for that, though I wouldn't know it personally. Also you've mentioned running from the police before, so I'm guessing you make a habit of driving really fast and don't have a radar detector that's worth anything.
It's probably stanced single cam EG hatch with a rusted hood, "no fatties" stickers, and a giant boso exhaust. Otherwise it's probably just the exhaust and/or driving habits that are the problem.
Well in that case it's alot less red-flagish as the EG seems to be the usual target for ricers, but cops do love modded civics regardless especially if they are loud and being driven recklessly.
I drive a Mitsubishi Eclipse lowered on coilovers, with a cat back exhaust, dark tint, and i'm Asian and I have never been harrassed by the police because of it. So you must be driving like an absolute tool and have a piss poor attitude when dealing with the police. The way you treat the police correlates the way they will treat you and how the out come of a traffic stop will go. You probably have earned an extremely poor reputation for you and your car just by the way you treat police.
Despite the fact that I my car is easily rusty enough to make cops think "no proof of insurance", I've only been ticketed once and I... kinda deserved it. The habit I had at the time, of cruising at least 15-20 over everywhere I went outside of town, had nothing to do with it either. Ergo, if he's getting mobile disco'd enough to call it harassment, I've gotta wonder...
