Re: Coffs Harbour v2.1 Mine is working fine. But these walls need to be flat. It's killing my FPS and cars.
The map seems to run nice and smooth for me. Great map for the faster cars with all the high speed straights. Not much in the way of technical corners here but it's still fun. It's good to have a track with its share of high-speed sweepers and long straights, gives a nice counterbalance to Hirochi Raceway's smaller, more technical layout.
This track is spectacular... Never felt like BeamNG was a huge racing game before, but with tracks like this it just feels so much like it could be.
sorry...ive had to remove this due to the unacceptable Beamng EULA... i, or the original creator of this track, do NOT grant BeamNG a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive right and fully sub-licensable license to use, copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, publicly perform, publicly display, modify, adapt, translate, archive, store the User Generated Content, and create derivative works from your User Generated Content, in any form, format or medium of any kind now known or later developed and for the entire duration of the intellectual property rights. This track remains the sole Intellectual Property of Martin Weare.
so "Martin" AKA WacKEDmaN is it allright if i have just one copy? i agree to never re-upload it.. It seems like a good map going to waste from the EULA....
Host it on mega.nz. That's where I keep my things hosted until they're production-worthy or ready to be actively distributed on this site. Just host the link with key and it works great. That site also likes my spotty irreliable internet connection a lot more. They don't get to use stuff hosted on other sites, just works hosted on here.
To be honest, why even still keep the thread on if you're not agreeing to BNG EULA , just a question.
Because OP doesn't realize BeamNG needs some permissions to his work in order to host it. If BeamNG didn't, then Mr. Martin Weare would be able to take legal action simply because his mod is being hosted on BeamNG websites. They're not here to steal your work or claim it as your own, that's never what they were here for.
Yeah. I mean, this is not RoR anymore. And no matter what you do, your mod will simply end up on every website possible, no matter the quality. You made a mod for a game, and you originally released it, it means you shared it to the whole world...
FYI i am not Martin...most of the irc regulars know who i am! and as for if i agree to the EULA or not... thats MY decision... the EULA wording is totally off putting and tries to take too much control.. this track took Martin over 2 years to complete.... it was offered to the beamng community without any terms..blame beamng legal team for imposing their own terms and conditions on it.... not me... currently they have the legal right (due to the EULA) to take any mod posted here and do what they want with it.. i may bring this track back... IF and only IF Beamng changes the EULA wording to be more concise and less broad...
There was already a huge discussion a short while ago on why the EULA says certain things. For one, you're posting it to their servers so the EULA is just stating they can take your mod and host it. Secondly, every mod uploaded gets approved by the moderators, and lots of the time a mod may be uploaded with a few issues. Rather than rejecting the mod and telling the modder to fix it, they can simply open it up, fix what was wrong, and then approve it. Way easier than telling you to do it and reupload it again, isn't it? They're not going to steal anyone's work. You really think they'd take a map/vehicle/other and reupload it as their own?
