Let me start by saying that I could not find any thread actually related to my issue so I started this one, but if I overlooked it, I am sorry. And I would also like to say I simply love BeamNG.

I have been trying for the past week to get the force feedback working properly in my G27 in BeamNG but I just lost a lot of time and still nothing. The controls work fine and the game recognizes the steering wheel correctly.

When I am driving, there is sort of a dead zone in my FFB. I would say that it is around - 45° to +45°. In this region I have no FFB, only thing that happens is the G27 acts like there is something grinding inside it. After this dead zone, the FFB starts working normally. I have played around with the FFB setup in the UI but it has done nothing to help, and made sure the dead zone option was 0. Just to be certain it was not and issue with the steering wheel's hardware, I used some other simulators as rFactor and Assetto Corsa and my G27 worked perfectly. Does anyone know how to get the FFB working properly?

    Thanks for the help.

Try disabling the response correction curve, see if that helps.

Yes, it is working perfectly on rFactor, Assetto Corsa and Richard Burns Rally.

Also, try running the game in "Safe mode", to rule out the possiblity of misbehaving mods.

Hmm... Just out of curiosity do you have the logitech profiler open and/or the system controller settings for the G27?
If so close it and try BeamNG without it open.

If not, try what @stenyak mentioned and run the game in Safe Mode. Not likely it'd be a mod screwing with your force feedback, but its worth checking.

If that doesn't work, Idk... Clear cache, Reinstall BeamNG, just a couple other ideas I would try if I was in this situation.

I do not have the profile open while using BeamNG. I will try these solutions and later I get back to you guys. Thanks for the help.

I tried disabling the response curve and it improved but it did not fix it. I tried some other stuff, but still did not get anywhere, at least I solved the "grinding" by increasing the damping near the maximum.

After a lot of time testing out stuff I finally re-installed the logitech softwares (profile and drive) and it did the trick and now my G27 is working correctly.

Thank you very much for your time and sorry for wasting it.

No worries. I was going to suggest reinstalling the logitech software and the drivers for your wheel, but it never crossed my mind since you mentioned it was working correctly in other games.

I have a g27 and when sitting in a stationary car the wheel shakes from side to side sometimes pretty aggressively. It does this without any input what so ever. Is this the case with all FFB devices or what?

The G25/27 have this issue. Its related to how their force feedback systems work. Its normal. Happens with my G25 too. Gets annoying too but hey, I have to live with it too :p

Is the shaking issue a thing that could be fixable on the future?

I also had the same problem described on the OP and this thread was heplful, but the FFB looks like it could be greatly improved, I'm not sure if the devs have that in mind as it seems that the FFB works 100% in response to ingame psychics (thus the bounciness). This is very apparent when drifting, the wheel seems to get kind of stuck when it should automatically countersteer.
