Great to see another excellent mod by the one and only D-Troxx. Can't wait to see the finished product, keep up the brilliant work.

 

Nissan engines without the ´´D´´ like CA18DET, Means they dont have DOHC like an RB20E or am i wrong about that?

 

Since the mid 80's, DOHC engines from Nissan have used a "D" to signify the presence of a DOHC head (e.g an RB20DE is DOHC, but an RB30ET is not)

Prior to the mid 80's though, Nissan did not use the D for twin cam engines, that is why the FJ20ET engine is named as such, despite being a DOHC engine.

 

ok so heres what I came with... a Sedan and a hatch... I am just simply aksing for a sedan one (even tho it looks odd)

lets not get to far ahead. first i will do the hatch. since i own one myself. after that i will add the coupe version. and after that we will shall see where it goes.
I will take my time though, so please dont expect something in atleast 2-3 months i guess. but i will keep you all up to date .

my aim is to get a complete vehicle with all the original available parts and options (which is alot already) and a few common mods like the Silvia S13 front suspension convertion. because on the original suspension the shock absorbers cant be swapped with aftermarket ones. you can see why in a picture i posted on the first page.

I use autodesk CAD and Inventor for work. Because im a mechenical engineer .
