Um... My game is Saying That Your File is not registering in my game. What do I do. It is saying that it is not in a specific category. Help Please??
For a far in the future update, do you plan to have driveways at every house? If not that should be a plan. That would be amazin. Plus it would be extremely cool to have some open garages to pull into. Either way, this is one of my favorite maps. Sorry if I'm just bugging you right now.
Eh, you're only bugging me a little... There will not be driveways leading into every house, as the real-world references that I'm building this off of show most of the houses having rear-access garages, fed by alleyways up the spines of the blocks (look up Skokie, IL on Google Maps). The cul-de-sac of the Terrace will, however, have all of its houses connected to the street via driveways. The only reason they're not right now is pretty much just pure laziness on my part. A small handful of unique, enterable garages are planned at some point, just don't hold your breath.
I did mostly mean the houses by the cul-de-sac. I can't wait to see the finished product as long as you get there. Sorry about that little bit I'm bugging you.
Technically, it wasn't even a texture problem. The segments of buildings that are too plain-Jane to bother putting a texture on are covered in a textureless material called 'trim.' Turns out, one of the vehicle materials added in the update is also called 'trim.' As vehicle materials are always active in any level, the building trim was being read as the vehicle trim, and the building trim was complaining about not having access to the according textures and features (including realtime reflections). A quick change of material name has since solved the problem. But not content to just patch that, I'm giving out an early version of the newest update to the map. It's not at all polished off, but it should give you guys something more to play with until I can get around to finishing it. Noted problems that I don't need to see reported: Gas station pavement ends at convenience store. Southeasternmost block's sidewalk/parkways/curbs have no collision. Downward-facing surfaces look jagged and poorly lit; engine issue, I have no control there. Hopefully will be patched soon. Water plane near reservoir not acting like water. Otherwise, if there are any new problems with materials that this patch did not fix, let me know.
Delete your 0.3 file, then install the 0.35 [patch] file, then delete cache, then play map again. This problem is due to 0.6, as quoted by Occam's Razer:
Yeah this pavement texture issue is after the downloading the new patch. The previous texture issue was on buildings.
