Skinning

    I was thinking, maybe a skin for a vehicle should be a bunch of greyscale images, each defining where a color goes and its alpha, in stead of having it look weird because the color change for the skin will just mix into every color. something a lot simpler in many ways, especially when the layman wants to make their own color scheme, and a matte finish in some parts of a design but not others can be very cool.

    And it wouldn't be overly complex to code in. This is like default in every render engine I've dealt with... and it would be really cool to like have blue dirt on a white car.
