Now, I'm sure that a bunch of people have thought of this idea and put it on the Vehicle Suggestions page, but no one listened. So, to bluntly put it, there needs to be an Ibishu small 4x4 SUV. Favorably a mix of a Suzuki Samurai, and a Daihatsu Rocky. I want people, and Gabe to listen to this so that we can get another new vehicle in-game. I would like to hear the community's opinions too. Thank you.
I like the idea but don't think more vehicles are or should be a high priority. The devs need to build the base game, modders can take care of extra content.
Maybe something older? The Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 has been around in 1963, Ibishu was around in 1963. Perhaps the modding community could seen something similar to the Land Cruiser soon.
It would be nice to finally get a small off-road vehicle. Since they seem to have emphasized variety in the vehicle line up, we may eventually see something from this genera of truck. I've always been partial to the 2nd gen Nissan Patrol myself, but an Ibishu 4x4 based off of anything in the Jeep competing market would be cool.
I've wanted a non-American SUV in the game for a while, so I like the idea. I'll do up a concept sketch for fun, but my modding skills aren't there.
Decided to take an older approach, though I have ideas for a second generation. This would have an early 1970's to early 1980's production and, in compliance with kei car regulations, would have a ≤360cc engine before 1976 and a ≤550cc one after. The Pigeon's 658cc engine is a mistake given that the Pigeon had a 1982-89 production and the allowable displacement wasn't upped to 660cc until 1990, but this is of course the devs' game, and whatever they say or do is automatically made true within the BeamNG universe. In that case, this vehicle (I've been calling it the Sparrow) could simply have the same 658cc diesel engine throughout its entire production run. I had the idea for a detachable hardtop and removable window frames (inspired by the Land Rover Series I) to give it a more utilitarian Jeep-like appearance, but they could also fly off in a rollover which would be fun. Anyway, I'm getting ahead of myself as usual. I don't like to seem like I'm pressuring the devs into anything and normally avoid the vehicle suggestions page like the plague, but this one piqued my interest and seemed like a fun little project, if you can call an hour of sketching a "project" (though even after a "project" as small as this, I've just realised I have an ungodly number of Wikipedia tabs to close when I'm done writing this). Anyway, it's just an idea Car design is my thing, as I'm sure you've noticed. And, as with any drawing or design, you see a bunch of things you want to add/change as soon as you post it Quarterlights in this case. You can never go wrong with quarterlights.
First off, I really like the look of it. Second off, I really like the name Sparrow; It sounds like something with a purpose. The engines are of decent spec, and I was thinking that a Pigeon engine would work. I am very happy that you think this is a good idea, and I also avoid the Vehicle Suggestions page too. I would like to hear your thoughts for the 2nd Generation as well, if possible. My dad owned a 1988 Suzuki Samurai, and my Grandma owned a 1990 Daihatsu Rocky. I own a 1998 Toyota 4Runner. So, I like Japanese SUVs, and I'm glad to hear that you do too. So anyways, The sketch was amazing, and I really like the lines you gave the Sparrow too. It's fantastic. Thank you for your amazing support and enthusiasm in this idea. --- Post updated --- Also, the detachable hard-top sounds great too. I agree with you that rolling over would be fun because of all the body panels flying every which way. And yes, quarter lights indeed. Those are great things.
I like this one too. Very nice. --- Post updated --- I'm glad you're a huge fan of this idea. This could be an official vehicle eventually, with a little hope.
It is a good idea but specify japenese 4x4 not jeep because jeep is american and it is insulting to americans to say "japanese jeep vehicle".It would look nice with a few pigeon style things.
Idk why, but it reminds me of a smaller Mitsubishi Pajero But I have to agree, it looks completely and utterly awesome.
