well, what could we put into that tanker trailer... -gas -oil -water -heating oil -chemicals -other liquids A flatbed.... -wood -cars -another flatbed -boxes -logs -other A Dry Van Trailer..... -food -drinks -furniture -drugs -supplies -anything else Sounds to me like a lot of possibilities, especially with the dry Van trailer, although, I think something is missing on the tanker..... There is usually a red diamond there with a white line through the middle with a number in it that dictates what is in the tanker, with the absence of that, we could guess that we can customize what is in the tanker..... Also, the license plates... Interesting steam names.......
Actually, the diamond thing I mentioned earlier also goes on the dry Van trailer, except instead of red, it would be grey/black
Overlapping decals like this would be very useful for improving road transitions and the blending of static objects with the terrain, plus road splines are always handy for map development. It seems to me a lot of development work is going into Italy, since Nadeox1 is also helping with photogrammy and tdev and co. are making game engine features to facilitate its development. Also, "deep architectural engine changes" has a lot of implications, most of which truly excite me. And as usual the developers are working extraordinarily hard at seemingly all hours of the day. Thanks dev team!
What I would absolutely love to see implemented in the decal roads is caps and corners. You know how in Photoshop or Illustrator, when drawing a line you can change the cap (start/end point shape) and also change the corner shape (round or hard)? I would like to see this put into the decal roads. The caps would be very useful for making a road end without a hard edge or a soft fade. You would be able to use a texture for the start/ending of the road. The corner texture would be good for making right angle corners not look all stretched out and not having to use multiple roads. It would also be nice to level, and bank the decal roads. That would make map making way easier. Also an autosmooth would save a lot of time.
Update should be next Friday not this coming Friday. We get a new car about once per month and it has been 2 weeks so far since ETK I-Series and this coming Friday will be 3 weeks so next Friday it will be 4 weeks Legran
That's 28 days. Way too early if it's a normal update. A normal update usually takes 1 1/2 month to come out unless its a bugfix or bugfix+minor stuff like in 0.6.1. And as FLyInG 2 YoUr SoUL already said it's uncertain if even the Legran is coming in the next update. I still tip it's gonna be either the 2nd or 9th September.
They said LeGran should follow soon in the next update, unless they are working on some tricky game mechanics, I would expect the update to arrive somewhat soon.
@JoshTheAwesome seriously, please stop with the rampant useless speculation. That's nearly every post you've made in this thread and you've been told countless times to stop. I hate telling people off but it's getting annoying.
The next update will take some 4-6+ weeks probably. We are ripping out the networking part of the gameengine. A task that we wanted to do since years but delayed more and more. The more complex stuff we pile on top, the more fragile this gets. So we have to do it now.
dang it would be nice to have a small update in between like 6.2 which adds them new trailers or something
Yeah, would be nice, but its not possible really. We need to go through these changes completely before we can release anything.
