    You're welcome. :)

Although, upon further testing, I believe the temporary brakes you're playtesting are way too powerful.

In my WIP build, I decreased the braking torque to 15.000Nm (still 3x more than before).

And... This is coming up next... ;)

Are you ever going to put different shells on the truck? Like the semi-truck or maybe that van even though you said you didn't like it? I think it would still be fun to have different shells even if they aren't 100% realistic. Just an idea. P.S that new skin looks nice!

    Yep, definitely.

I need to figure out a couple of details first, Blender isn't really my thing, learning as I go...

Good news from the fire simulation as well.

Before you ask: the crushed car had no engine nor a fuel tank so it couldn't catch fire in any way. Fire was induced by sparks (caused by friction), so the tires of the truck self-ignited and then flames propagated to differentials, up to the flammable engine. Yay! ;)

It's just an experiment to test flammable nodes - tires don't burst into flames, hence it won't be THAT easy for the truck to catch fire in the final version... - and... that will teach me to steal other people's parking spots... :(

Promise you, this will be the very last one added, then I guess I'll move on to alternative shells... :D

You do whatever you want to do! A grave digger style type of shell would be cool. ;)

I am new to the BeamNG.Drive community. I have a few questions.

Is anyone working on Monster Truck tracks or physics updates for the CRD truck?
Is there a way to use the front and rear steer separately?

Grave Digger #23 is on the CRD Chassis.

Now to find the model...

    Not at the moment.

Both axles can steer thanks to hydros right now, so their current setup is meant to work with the regular steering input.

Maybe a different keybind could be activated for the rear steering, to simulate the stick for indipendent activation, but it's not in the plans as of now.

By monster truck track, do you mean like a stadium/map? If so, I thought about making one, but I just never got around to trying.

The monster truck should be more difficult to ignite. Monster Trucks run on Untainted Methanol, and according to this website. The truck should be less likely to ignite and the fire burns cooler too.

Sure, they're also equipped with fire suppression systems, so it's very very difficult for one to catch fire at all.

As I said, it was just an experiment. It's almost impossible for me to test the flammable nodes in the engine due to the peculiar setup of this vehicle. It's pretty much a tubular rollcage on wheels so tall that it could climb on pretty much any barrier. And it's relatively slow, too...

Therefore, getting a destructive head on collision is highly unlikely (wheels also tend to act as bumpers, and they usually fall off before the chassis can receive any significant damage). I couldn't get the engine to break even after running over the truck with this thing...

Sure, the Vehicle Debug app allows to ignite vehicles, but all the flammable nodes in the structure are ignited at the same time. The only way I could test fire propagation was... well, to help self combustion a little bit with an unexpected fire starter. Added temporary nodes - exposed to friction! - in the tires and let the sparks do their thing... ;)

Flammable wheels won't be in the next release, so you don't have to worry. :)

    Oh, BTW...

This is the kind of behaviour I'm trying to reproduce in game with my new suspensions. Please notice that the inside wheels can't grip and lift off.

Well, this is coming along nicely, I guess... ;)

I guess just something to run on. So yes a realistic Monster Jam track. It would not have to be a replica, just something to drive around on.

Make sure you make the brakes more powerful. They are wayyyyy to light.

Great! When are you planning to release the final version?

Well, "final" is a big word. :)

Next release won't be anywhere close to a "final version", there's still a lot of stuff in the plans, but I'm a total noob, so everything takes ages... Bear with me, I'm doing my best!

Anyway... If you want, you can get an intermediate release here.

This version includes improved brakes (and a parking brake feature under request).

Maybe one day I'll try to make a map for the truck, but no promises. I tried the map making tools a little and they are a little weird. (To me)
