Oldsmobile 1980 fullsize Series Mod V1.0 By SergentFido, Ar162B, Synsol and other great fellows. Installation folder is as for every BeamNG.Drive mods: mydocuments/beamng.drive/mods/ (place the two zip files here and you're done) 14th august 2017 information : the 0.10 update of the game has an impact on custom sounds of this mods. Volumes are not well balanced like for exemple the dragster which has a very loud idle and quiet revving engine. I have to tune up again all of that for the next update of the mod. 3th June 2017 information : the 2 configs called "Restomod" will not work anymore because of electronic stability equipment failure since some recent update of the game. It will result in a Fatal exception error. Untill the next update of the mod, you can disable this equipment in the part selector, or not use those configs, to avoid the issue : Sorry for the inconvenience Important Notice : This mod is an addon of the "Codename : Oldsfullsize" Mod you may download in the repository here or by clicking on the green button just above. Without it the addon won't work at all, as important files are in the "Codename : Oldsfullsize" mod. Also the mod is a bit intensive and may be laggy on some pc configs, especially the ones with AMD processor. Welcome to the Oldsmobile 1980 Fullsize Series mod. This Mod is dedicated to the last big boaty cars of that famous Brand that disappeared in 2004. Fullsize serie means that all the body styles will be featured, today we begin with the two Sedan, the Delta 88 and the 98 Regency, then the Custom Cruiser and Coupes will follow, in some monthes (V2.0). Why 1980 ? Because i own a Delta 88 Diesel IRL, and the mod started with the idea to drive my own car in the game, if possible. Then grew up to a more complete serie as the work becomes more serious. Also i worked in video games long time ago and wanted to challenge me with doing games stuff again. And first of all i'm a big Fan of BeamNG.drive. The mod features: - Quite a lot of presets, stock, tuning, used and restored cars, with a choice of six V8 engines, from 120 to 1200 hp. The low powered 6 cylinders are not featured here but will be in V2.0 (though i think they aren't quite interesting). - Custom sounds, mostly done by myself by selecting isolated youtube video sounds, except two samples that are found here and there and that i don't know the origin, but they are so good it's probably from games. We all get used to them so they'll remain in the mod, i'll be happy to credit the proper game if someone recognize them, and to remove them if necessary. But a new sound system will appear in game, at this stage i'll record new engine sounds myself. - Custom wheels : Oldsmobile Super Stock 3 wheels and hubcaps, Vector wheels, Minilites. Different styles of Oldsmobile hubcaps for steel wheels. - Real weights of the cars. - base, premium, and race brakes. - regular single exhaust line, and custom double lines including side pipes. - last minute police antennas (thanks AR162B) ! The mod contains lots of BeamNG.drive parts : - Moonhawk jbeam and the Moonhawk Sedan Mod by Ar162b it's based on. A lot reworked and adapted to the lastest BeamNG.drive features : thermals, brakes, suspensions, etc... - Modified Moonhawk frame and textures, drivetrain. Those Moonhawk partsare basically nice simplified parts of the real ones, so the mod could exist because of the similarity of structure. - Civetta Bolide gauges for the Race Car version. - Fullsize manual shifter. - BeamNG wheels : the mod contains a selectable hub that allows to try a lot of 5 lugs BeamNG wheels on the cars. Credits : - The Regency Sedan model is based on a Paul Busuego's low poly Model, that i purchased to him with his autorisation to modify or rebuilt it totally. More infos in the forum soon about WIP stuff. - SergentFido (Me) : 3D models, Delta 88 full model, textures, initial jbeam tweaking of the jbeam to fit the car shapes, then final shape tweaking to get a front end deforming better (still not perfect at all but does the trick). I'll quote here what Goosah told me in the Beta test group "those cars with separated frames are pure hell to jbeam" , and i'm not Goosah So all the jbeam stuff is subject to improvments in the future. - Ar162B : Moonhawk Sedan Mod as the base of the project. Minilites and Vector wheels mesh i did new textures for. then he joined the project to add a lot of features and make the body to get a better deformation, more accurate to the shape. Also the Moonhawk Sedan was an older mod and Ar162B was willing to improve weaknesses this older mod had. For exemple the door opening is completly different and far better than on the Moonhawk Sedan. - Synsol: Awesome mod support ! Also He finetuned the engines, the brakes, the suspensions, so they match the specs of the real cars, in terms on weight, acceleration, fuel consumption, and handle like a real boaty car : soft, comfy and quite unprecise steering. The top speed of cars is subject to improvment though, they are currently lower than the real one due to technical stuff in game, but will be improved. I mean the stock one, as the street legal ones are insanely fast to compensate - Djplopper : beautifull presets pics - Aboaroath, Peterbilt, Doullpepper, Bernd, Goosah, Djplopper, Darren9, CryDev, Tylertj, Ouerbacker, Яeverse Bass, and of course Synsol : Awesome beta testers - CryDev for the more than awesome Trailer video - B25mitch : The Stig mod. - Darren9 : installation of the new Stig setup from the Pigeon Sti-G - Snaapop : providing a new idle sound. Changelog: - 15 april 2017 : Small Hotfix for V0.9 of the game Just a little hotfix for the front fenders being dented by the improved anti-stick system of the V0.9 version of the game. Just two nodes misplaced, now at their correct places. A more complete update of the addon is coming soon (drivetrain, new bodies and so on) - 24 october 2016 : Small update upgrades and fixes : The rear flat panel behind the rear seat wasn't deforming with the rest of the car, so it's fixed : The license plate design slot was missing in the main.jbeam : for some reason, the belly seatbelt i did for all the drivers wasn't present in the first release (some mistake i did) . So now if you spawn the crash test dummies, they do have a seatbelt. It works the same way as the race one, change is only visual so dummy is pretty well attached. In the V2.0 release the seatbelt will be a full one, attached to the B-pillar. upgraded sounds ! - removed the overdistorded revving sound and replaced it by a softer one, even for the street legal engines. - tweaked and lowered the sound of every engine. - new idle sound and setting for the V8 350, idle sound provided by Snaapop. - added new sound for the Delta 88 Sedan beater, with a knocking idle sound. Fixed some material.cs files with a wrong useAnisotropic[0] = "0"; instead of being ="1" - 22 september 2016 : first release Have fun with the mod ! It's been so long i've been working on this mod, with the huge help of my friends modders fellows, especially Ar162B, so it's time now to present it to all of you. I couldn't help making something a little bit fun and silly, so it's more a teaser now, and more infos, complete credits, details, wip stuff will arrive quickly before it will be released in a few weeks. I'll be happy to answer all of your questions, though a lot of things are already in the images. The brand of the cars is obvious on the images, but i didn't wrote it in the title in purpose, it will be explained to you when released. Stay tuned ! Cheers ! Yup, this is called Fullsize Series because it will feature the whole range of body models of this year. V1.0 or whatever it will be called will feature the two sedans, 98 regency (C body) and Delta 88 (B body) and V2.0 will feature Coupes and Station Wagon. Here are two pics, very early wip, no jbeam adapted to them. A lot of work to do. So no promise yet on when it will be released, still some work on the V1.0 in the next weeks

Benjamin Tam : Why ? the Legran seem to be smaller and also more recent, in the same years (1985?) the Regency was also a smaller car. They will be complementary on the road, then will smash them together and we'll see which one wins
I am very pleased about this. I like this a lot. These are you typical 1980s American boats of a car. My favorite is the Wagon.
VeyronEB: you mean converted from another game ? Nope, this is handcrafted work with countless hours late at night. It's a collaborative work and i'll explain all the process if some of you are interested in WIP stuff, i have many pics to share and stories to tell Also if you look at the credits at the end, as you suspect someone like Synsol being responsible of the mod sections won't be so pleased to spent time on a converted from another game mod.
