Probably. :) As you're probably aware, the game's current support for ripping, tearing, breaking, etc is very rudimentary. The splitable Covet is clearly intended to work around those limitations but fresh, reinforced hitch points will probably be necessary in both the front and back. It should be a quick JBEAM fix, no big deal in my opinion. Note that the car in the video clearly has the chain wrapped all the way over the hood to get a sturdy connection. Something similar was probably done in the back.

also, this is what i got several days ago...though to be fair, i don't know how to move 2 vehicles at once and i had to glitch the chain into the body using the world editor

Pause the physics with "J" and switch to each vehicle where you want to set something. Get your controls setup (steering, throttle) and then switch away from that vehicle. Once all your vehicles are set you should settle on something like a chain or inanimate vehicle. Unpause physics and your previously set inputs should take affect.

    Yep.

And also something I've carefully tried to reproduce with fine tuning of the variables of the supercharger. Well, it was either that, or heavy skidding on launch... ;)
    Let's do this, then!

So, fancy yourself 1720 horse power?

Because that's what you're getting. And this is going to happen pretty frequently if you can't hold your horses... ;)

I still need to take some screenshots to be used as thumbnails for the configurations. And I'm yet to find a solution to the problem of coexistence of the skins... Other than that it's pretty close to a release.

That's not an error message, the file is indeed a zipped folder. Are you sure the file doesn't get copied to your destination?

Mind to post a few screenshots or a video of what happens, so I can try to help you?

Well, Max-D is kinda revealing itself as an hassle: I just realized the textures for the classic version are a bit off, due to the fact that I worked on a reference meant for the front-engined version of the truck (the real truck comes in two versions, one sitting on the front-engined Willman chassis, and a secondary truck built on the CRD chassis; alas the texture I worked on is for the former).

The pillars and parts of the roof need to be moved forward to match the body around the windshield, but it will take time, so I might well ditch it and start again from scratch. Hence, I don't know if it will make it in the next update: the Gold version is fine (it's a direct conversion), but the final result is rather unconvincing to me, so you're telling me if you want at least that to be released anyway.

*Sigh* I'm kinda stumped right now, as I struggle to solve all the issues plaguing this mod... :(

Well... Maybe this new horned friend can take Max-D's place... ;)

@FLyInG 2 YoUr SoUL You should create new thread for this, not just post your things here.

I'm just keeping the mod up to date with a few additions and fixes, so it felt kinda natural for me to use this one.

I don't think my little housekeeping job is worth a dedicated thread... :)

That truck shell looks sweet! Where are you getting the shells/textures from? Are you making them from scratch or finding them from other games? I also think the horns should be their own break groups so they can fall off after I roll it. :p

One of the new skins (unreleased) is an original design by myself, everything else is mainly coming from Sim-Monsters.com.

It's a huge community of modders responsible for the creation of an impressive variety of monster trucks for Rigs of Rods, the... "spiritual predecessor" of BeamNG.drive. :)

This Metal Mulisha started its life as a RoR mod itself (technically, it used to be a reskinned Grinder!), converted to BeamNG. Due to the complexity of these vehicles, many resources and assets are shared among similar mods: this is why Sim-Monsters.com is the repository of choice for any expansion to this project.

First I used to port compatible textures for the Ford F-150 body by Klayton Halog: I had them cleaned up, fixed errors and asymmetries, redesigned/improved a few outdated details (most of them didn't have textures for the rear lights clusters, for example). Then I packed them up with matching body parts (usually recolors of the original textures).

Now I'm converting entire body meshes that would fit the CRD chassis. With very little success so far...

It kinda depends on the success of the restoration job on the texture for the classic paint scheme.

On the other hand, gold Max-D (see attachment) is ok. Problem is I don't quite like the final result, but that could be released nonetheless if anyone's interested. Maybe as a separate vehicle...

    EDIT - Fixed attachment...

looks cool, I love jumping over cars with the monster truck. I use 2 civetta bolides to ramp the truck over a bus. 10/10 would jump again

There's no CRD variant in that pack, only the Willman versions.

The Willman chassis is front-engined and slightly longer than CRD, so the bodies don't fit.
