Why not ? The zip includes the hubcaps and a configuration for the pessima This hubcap is available for the 15x7 Modern Steel Wheels. To install it, select a vehicle which support these wheels, then go in the part selector, select 15x7 Modern Steel Wheels and then Patrick hubcaps in the hubcaps menu. Warning : in order to put the custom color on the pessima, I'm obliged to overwrite an official file (info.json) . If I don't update the mod with the newest version of BeamNG ( actual version : 0.6.1 ), the description and colors of the pessima might become outdated Edit : It's now fixed, thanks to @torsion and @Saniamos revived ! Enjoy !
One thing is for sure: I've never seen better looking hubcaps. If I had a car with steelies, I'd buy similar hubcaps and paint that on them .
Looking at your patrick colored Pessima, what about a skin that covers the lower half of the car in patrick pants and a belly button on the hood? Wtf did I just wrote --- Post updated --- I just noticed the Pigeon almost has planktons color. And they're both the smallest character/car. Bye
Just... where are you finding all these silly ideas lol ? i don't think I would do these skins, or maybe only after binge-watching a season of Spongebob
I guess seeing patrick switched the childhood switch in my head --- Post updated --- I'll do the skin then
Why not just put an un-named color into info_Spongebob_Patrick.json? eg Code: "default_color":"0.93 0.56 0.56 1.2" Does that not work? (I can't check right now)
Sadly it doesn't work. I had tried this before and I just double-checked The pessima just spawns with the default car color, and I can't see any error in the console
Unfortunately you're exactly right! :-( This is the problem: Code: if configData.default_color then configData.default_colorname = configData.default_color configData.default_color = model.colors[configData.default_colorname] end This is from vehicles.lua. As we see, default_color is actually OK to start with, but then we look it up in the model.colors[] array and overwrite it with a different color. I've proposed a change over here which I think will remedy this: http://beamng.com/threads/change-to-vehicles-lua-to-improve-config-color-support.29831/
I just updated the mod, by not making it overwrite the info.json, thanks to the fix by @Saniamos revived and the great suggestion thread created by @torsion . Thank you both very much !
