Here it is! Highlights of this release: - 2 new body designs (Maximum Destruction with a Gold paint design and the previously unreleased El Toro Loco, with 2 different paint schemes, Black and Orange). - 2 new skins for the original shell (Apex Runner, Growing Darkness, for a total of 12 skins available). - New supercharged engine (1500HP / 1935Nm) and limited slip differentials. - Revised suspension/tires/steering settings to improve traction and suppress wheel wobbling. - Tunable ride height (+/- 5cms). - Improved brakes. - New internal cameras (cockpit, wheel). - Redesigned steering column to prevent vibration. - Fixed materials for the gauges in the dashboard. - Various bugfixes, updates and optimizations (realigned chassis, fixed grouping errors,...). - Revised color combinations and new textures for Metal Mulisha, Metal Mulisha (Alternate) and MadUSA. A total of 16 configurations are available: - Naked chassis Replicas: - Grinder (F150 body) - Hurricane Force (F150 body) - MadUSA (F150 body) - Metal Mulisha (F150 body) - Metal Mulisha (F150 body, alternate red skin) - Metal Mulisha (F150 body, alternate blue skin) - Runners (F150 body) - Maximum Destruction (gold paint design, lowered suspension) - El Toro Loco (black paint design, lowered suspension) - El Toro Loco (orange paint design, lowered suspension) Customs: - Apex Runner (F150 body) - Death Mist Elegy (F150 body) - Growing Darkness (F150 body) - Harley Davidson's Outsider (F150 body) - Harley Davidson's Renegade (F150 body) Alternative tires (Ukraine tires with custom rims and planetary wheel hubs) and a fixed rear axle (steering disabled) are available in the Vehicle Customization Screen. Known Issues: - One of the gauges in the dash has a wrong material assigned to it, so one instrument is missing and one is duplicated. - Some wheel wobbling/suspension rattle at low speeds is still possible due to limitations of the physics engine. - Shells are still only partially JBeamed. Work is underway to define full deformable structures for each of them. For those who have tested the previously released beta version, this release also addresses the following: - Fixed differentials and transmission mishaps. - Fixed rare occurencies of exploding tires while drifting. - Fixed redundancies in the materials file, causing some textures to fail to load - MaxD: applied smoothing to the body mesh. - MaxD: added a lexan windshield. - MaxD: suspension lowered by 5 cms. - MaxD: fixed body / underbody swapped material mappings. As usual, feedback is greatly appreciated! ! Clear cache for previous releases before installing !
@FLyInG 2 YoUr SoUL Are the horns a break group? What causes this to happen? And what happen to the van shells? This is probably best update to this mod yet. Other than the first release, but that wasn't an update Edit - I set the monster truck to chase mode.... I didn't beat him....
Yep, only the horns are fully Jbeamed, mostly in order to prevent them to sink into the ground in case of a rollover. They can't break either, since they're one piece with the body underneath. Progress with the JBeam for that body is well underway (the entire frontend is done and only needs a few tweaks) but it wasn't ready for release yet. The van shells aren't in this update. And probably won't be available anytime soon, I need to design a structural halo to snap on the rear of the original chassis first, so I'd rather focus on the existing shells for now. EDIT - Added a reference picture of the JBeam structure for the horns as it appears in game.
That' fine, I was just curious about them. Probably is a lot better to do the other ones first. Oh and the normal Max-D shell? Is that one still being worked on as well?
Seconded. The JBeam structures will be simple and likely tuned for rigidity. I'd expect fiberglass bodies to break/fracture instead of deforming plastically, so that's what I'm trying to reproduce with my JBeam. --- Post updated --- Yes, all the three of them are being worked on.
F150, Maximum Destruction and El Toro Loco. I'm making a full JBeam for each of them. El Toro Loco is almost done.
found a bit of a problem with max d. its tires love to eat themselves and lock up when hitting an extreme bump (coming up short on the down ramp). i think it's supposed to fall off so you can continue as normal, but sometimes it doesn't happen, as seen here. also would really love to have the option to fully lock the diffs so we can do insane stuff like this: *EDIT: after enough encouragement, the tire can pop back into place and continue on. *EDIT 2: it can still continue on, but the inner wheel is a jumbled mess.
Never had this to happen to me! Did the tire deflate or did it just deform/spike? I'll investigate the issue. Not possible right now, but will be in the imminent future with the implementation of the new differentials system. EDIT: So I guess the tire in question did deflate. Well, that's kinda unavoidable, it's hardcoded in the game and large sidewall tires tend to cause wierd stuff like that.
there was no deflation sound or message that popped up. whatever the cause, i'm sure you can fix it. that being said, a proper deflation system would be cool. because realism. Darren9 with his DW Competition Rock Crawler was able to implement a diff lock and unlock system on his vehicle. perhaps ask him for advice/study the rock crawler files? or would that not work with a machine of this scale? loving this new update nonetheless! i'll let you know if anything else out of the ordinary happens. --- Post updated --- *EDIT: i got it to happen again. i can confirm that no pop message or sound occurred. although this time you can see that it's more a tire issue. was there an issue before with max d's tires imploding on themselves? could this be related?
Yeah, I know, still it stopped working with game version 5.6.0 and he took it off. We're both waiting for the new system to be implemented. Shouldn't be long. --- Post updated --- What circumstances exactly? I'm trying to reproduce the issue and see if I can fix it.
it seems to be any unreasonable huge impact. that time i got it to happen when i landed directly on the front rim. i'll record gameplay this time and see if i can get it to happen again.
