The "Alpha" classification is a bit ungenerous: I was expecting major issues, but this is a well-accomplished vehicle already!

A couple of graphical improvements I feel like suggesting after just a couple of minutes of testing:

- Love how well integrated the ETK badge in the front is. The chrome logo could use some thickness, maybe?
- The tire texture is a bit flat, but this is likely a placeholder. Same for the rear light clusters.
- Front wheels can clip through mudflaps on steering.

Just my impression at first blush, will probably update my observations later, but this seems to be genuinely impressive work!

 

That's exactly the kind of detailed feedback I want!

Those are definitely on the to-do list.

Edit:
The light textures are supposed to be translucent, giving it a parallax effect on the light interior. But that's not working.

The ETK logo now has depth.

I'm not sure what to do about the clipping problem.

Oh, and for FPS reasons, I decided not to include the detailed tire mesh. Plus I deleted it and saved a long time ago

So it looks like it'll have to be a normal map only.

 

what does the extended camper do

 

It only works on the 18 foot camper.

 

I´ve seen (@ky13harbor9 ) you´ve taken up a "Unimog" based truck!! Great idea, and so far, great conception.
If you need some sounds, i´m your sound guy!!

 

I really like this truck! Seems like a great addition to the game's fleet. I know this is still in Alpha (or Beta?) so I would like to make a few notes:

• Brakes are a bit 'touchy'. For example when you press 25% on the brakes the look up.
• Engine needs a bit more torque down low because when you try to start going on a slightly steep hill it almost doesn't want to go. (Talking about the 7.2 motor)
• When in Park (with the automatic transmission) and the camper open the rear wheels vibrate.

Other than that it's really going well!

 

Another remind that you forgot to put ETK's trademark grill design on this truck

 

what grill design you know this is based or just is the Mercedes benz zetros right? ... right? it just has a different name

Yep, it definitely needs a Turbo or a Turbocharged Engine Variant.

 

this is coming along great. @ky13harbor9 might i suggest that you give the suspension more articulation? that would severely improve its offroad capabilities

Yeah, the engine doesn't break and it also doesn't have thermals, yet.

 

Is difficult to get the dry van trailer attached on the "4000 towing package" I have to use the node grabber to lift the trailer, and the truck frame seems to collide with its landing gear.

Aside from that, it's perfect.
