So I know that the steering on these were crap, but can you make a steering box that actually is responsive and doesn't suggest the car turns? Or at least how can you edit it to have really good steering?
You should probably build something like an Ambulance version. Or a Hearse. Or a streched one. That's all the things I could think of, no idea what to add aside from that.
Coupes and station wagon that were produced the same year maybe ? Refer to the first posts of the first page ...
What I was thinking of was a wagon with a much lengthened rear overhang and maybe wheelbase as well as a heightened roof. And yeah, something like a giant luxury version would be nice too.
@synsol I just tried that out. The sport steering doesn't help enough IMO, the car still drifts at 55 mph. Can you or someone make a race steering box that helps it steer like a sports car?
Yes finally This looks so awesome. -Have tested a bit, so many variants, so boaty and nice, love it so far
Of course the price would have to be right, That's if they make you an offer you can't refuse. I just hope to see a couple more Americana land yachts before this happens. I don't want you to become "absorbed" by the company and we never see anything like this again though, that would be a goddamn tragedy that would take a decent amount of getting over.
I just LOVE this mod, was worth waiting, and has NO bugs or anything. Just the most fun mod i have ever downloaded. also that beater version looks very cool but in my opinion there should be some dust or mess on the windows... looks a way too clean for me
Hi @SergentFido how you doing? I am a fan of American cars, wanted to know if you got in mind to create some other models in the future? I would like to see some AMC in Beamng. As the Pacer or Gremlin. Do you know them?
All the very precise race aspects of the cars are very Wip and will be improved. Race cars are just for fun and are not real race cars or real derby cars. The base is the unprecise boaty thing. Having such a car myself, i can tell you making turns with it at the 55 mp/h my be tricky very quick. Those cars are ment to drive "straight" (with a spongy steering) on big roads, and are not sports cars. So i think their steering behaviour is quite realistic. Ha ha, for one second i was wondering what was this avatar image Thanks ! they were a lot of bugs but it was a lot debugged in the last days. They still are bugs but fortunatly hard to make happen. For exemple, it happens then in some case of frontal smash with another car, a front fender can expand and become very big, huge. I've not seen it since some times though. in fact, this car is ment to be a still working car, in bad shape, not well maintained but the owner can clean the windows from time to time, you see what i mean. It's the same for the tyre, different in front and rear because the owner buy cheap used tires to put on it. It's not an abandoned car. But it's true that i could have put the dirty glass of the rusty in the selectable skin instead of having it part of the complete rusty regency skin. I may update this point. crappy tires and rusty wheels are available in the custom wheels for your liking. Seams to me to be a tire bug that can happen with every car in game. Yep i know those cars but i don't know what i'll do after the V2.0, that would be also a bit of work. i have an illustrator job besides doing mod, all of this is very time consumming. But i like it !
I think that the base mod should have some configs with no badges. I don't like using real life cars in video games made around no name brand cars, so I suggest that the base mod also comes with parts without the Oldsmobile badging, and configs.
This mod is so good, it's awesome. Really wish this mod had the slot for the license plate mods and official BeamNG plates.
Did you read what I said? I said to release the same parts WITHOUT the badges for the base mod. The base mod has no parts what so ever. I want the base mod to have more configs with some of the parts from his add-on. I understand why he didn't put the add-on in the base mod, because of copyright, but that doesn't mean the base mod has to suffer because of this.
