Question, this mod is relatively intensive and it brings my i7 860 to 20fps....But if i remove the inner fender wells and hood i get around 55fps, any particular reason those few parts are having such a large fps impact, Im in love with the mod by the way lol

@SergentFido, I hate to be the one to inform you about this, but I've found some issues with the skinUVs pack.
For the Delta 88, the opaque template is that of the regency.

This is weird, i have a i7 4790k with 980gtx and i have 60 fps all the time, with the highest setting at least with one car. Are you using the Stig in the car with those framerates ?
i'll look at those parts, and make test, but i can't really fix anything very soon as i'm on holidays.

I just saw that this had been released so i promptly threw everything i was doing out of the window and sat down to try these cars, and i must say it's great! The sound, the sights, and that boaty feeling is very genuine, it makes the car feel very heavy and the fact that they are so slow and lazy, not burning rubber when you floor it as some other cars in this game tend to do as soon as you touch the accelerator makes this mod really shine! The diesel sound is as spot on as i can remember it. Wonderful job!

Oh, as i was poking around the different variations i came across the "Magic Restoration" model, and instantly fell for this very convincing sign in the window and wrote a big check to the seller without asking any questions:

So i went and got a... uh... "nice" olive green paintjob and took it for a ride. All went very well until i got a bit excited, had an accident and hit a wall sideways and instead of feeling grief over what happened to this supposedly "pristine" car i literally laughed out loud when i discovered what a shitty hack-job the "restoration" was, when all the paint cracked and fell off in big pieces revealing the absurd amount of filler and plastic padding just smothered over all the rust underneath the paint:

That car wouldnt survive it's first bumpy road :D:D:D. Amazing easter egg there!

Ha ha ! It's a special "exportation to France" restored car, when you discover the shitty car it is when driving it out of the container. Lots of stories like that here.
Glad you like it ! It's a on/off material change so it can be brutal.
In fact this car is another future for the very rusty Regency. You can have it converted quickly to a Derby Car or being "restored" by a car seller.

So i made some frame rate test to compare with your result :

    - i can have 4 cars with constant 60 fps in gridmap
    - then the fps drops to 40 fps with the 5th car
    - with a 6th car i have only 20 fps.
All the cars are different, with skins, and 3 are Regency, the 3 others are Delta 88 .

So i removed the innerfenders and hood to the 6 cars and the fps jumped to 35/40 fps.
It's not such a difference than your 20 to 55 (with one car ?), put there is a progress. Though this is quite normal because the car is a lot more simple to handle for the CPU, has innerfenders are a major part of the front end deformation, and the hood interacts with them a lot.

I think the best way would be to have less node on the whole car.

What is the size of your addon file after the download ? Is it 188 mb or less ?

Nope not using the stig or anything, just the car, but by removeing those parts i go from 20-22 fps to around 75fps at leguna seca raceway, so its quite strange :)

in the documents/beamngdrive/mods/ folder can you see if the file is correctly downloaded ?
If the addon isn't in that mod folder, it can't work, and if the size is less than 188 mb, then it's an uncomplete download that seems to happen to a few people.

Yep, one car for me, generally i get a locked 60-75fps but with one olds i get 20fps, until i remove those parts then its a locked 60-75 on most maps, spawning 2 cars makes me drop to 18fps, haven't figured that out yet, This i7 is old but id think it would be able to handle multiple cars, the built in benchmarks says it should handle 6 cars.

And what is your frame rate in Gridmap ? What is the preset you use ?
If i use only one car, i get 60 fps and removing the innerfenders and hood doesn't change anything for me. But i don't have laguna seca map. It's possible that this map is so intensive, that it lags and then removing some parts on the car can free a lot of cpu usage.

Tested gridmap with the high settings preset 1080p, i get a locked 60fps with the default Truck spawned but as soon as i spawn the olds (any version) its 20fps until those parts are removed, Pausing the physics of the game gives me 84fps on the max preset without dynamic reflections enabled, After further testing the only real thing making the difference in fps are the inner front fender wells the hood is negligible impact

Those results are very strange, very different than what was reported in the beta test group. they were likely no lag issue noticed at all.
But it seems to be a too much nodes and beams that your config can handle, the pickup has only 3700 beams and the Olds has 5600.
I hope some work will be done to reduce that.

Its an epic mod either way, i dont mind removing inner fender wells to get 50-60fps :) It does seem that the 2 fender wells are the majority of my fps reduction, maybe it can be tweaked in v2 of this mod :)
