OK, this is a awesome plane! I have noticed I works as a submarine in you take the wings off or a boat if you have the wings on. While I am on the topic of planes and water, would it be possible to put Floats on it? And also for maps with snow or ice could you put skiis on it. I also just had an idea of ''dummy" bombs, they would have no explosive but the would be solid metal and be able to damage a vehicle if you hit it.
Interesting find regarding the marine and submarine capabilities of the plane! Certainly something not made on purpose on my part . Adding floats to this aircraft would not be realistic. The floats would add extra weight and cause lots of extra drag that would impair the aircraft performance and capabilities by a lot, rendering the plane as not being an aerobatic aircraft anymore, defeating the original purpose for which this plane was designed for . For this reason, aerobatic floatplanes irl are not really a thing at all currently. And regarding the skis, even though it would certainly not affect the aircraft performace by much, I honestly don't see the point of adding that at this point. I don't see it as something necessary. My opinion is open to change in the future though . And about the "dummy" bombs idea, nah, again, I don't see myself adding that a this point, it would certainly not be that realistic, and that's not what the aircraft was designed for. I definitely encourage any mod maker to make such a mod if interested though. Thanks anyway for your message and suggestions. Keep 'em coming . Floats and skis versions would be more appropriate in an aircraft such as a Supercub (Just a completely random example. Or not ).
Thanks for replying, and I flew the plane around a couple minutes ago and i have some more ideas. First making the hull the float for the plane but keeping the prop out of the water, and on the wing tips floats like on a PBY Catalina. Next, Airbrakes for slowing down to land. And Finally Retractable landing gear. OK, i have listed all of the good ideas i have had(one bad idea involved a jet engine)so, until i have more good ideas you will not hear from me.
That is a result of the game's physics engine and can't really be changed. You must remember that this is a car game, and that the fact that planes work at all in it is a testament to said engine's quality
Really nicely done. The quality is very high and it crashes well. I like how you put the controls on the screen too. Great work, thanks for uploading. Also the quality of the interior is amazing.
When I spawn it, its like the wheels are stuck in the ground and when I try to pick it up with nodes it keeps doing it even though the wheels aren't stuck. Do you know whats wrong and how to fix it?
I too am having an issue with locked wheels. Perhaps it's a conflict with the new smart parking brake system? Works if you world edit the plane into the air.
dose any one know why my plane tips forwards every time i increase the throttle. i have parking break off but it still dose not fly
Duude. Literally the 3 posts above yours discuss this issue. Anyway, a fixed version of the mod has already been submitted to the repo! It should be available for download soon . Just keep an eye at this thread, a message will get posted here when the new version is ready to download. @Walter H. @RiceMaiden

Hm. I posted an updated version of the mod in the repo which solves the problem. So, you just need to download the new version from the repo replacing the old one. Either click the Install button and let Beamng take care of it. Or click the Download button and save the file to Documents/BeamNG.drive/mods and replace the existing file when asked. http://beamng.com/resources/strato-hmx-920-aerobatic-aircraft.39/
Awesome - No more dead-air take offs! I've been flying this map over every road in Bob.Blunderton's Tennessee map, but the loss of ability to take off and land was really cramping my style. There is one other bug I've noticed, but I won't know if it is coincidentally fixed until I test the new version in a couple of days - I often notice after several minutes of flying (or occasionally during take-off) a crash sound, accompanied by the appearance of a sudden deformation in the 'hood' (body panel covering engine). This deformation progresses and worsens, always resulting in a significant yaw to the right (which I've learned to pretend is a perpetual crosswind, and correct during landings with the triggers). Have you (or anyone else) experienced this? I fly using with the steam Gyro's motion control in place of a traditional flight stick, so as far as I know, I am not yanking the controls too hard, too often.
