This game sounds awesome, but I won't part with my 25$ until it, and some good reviews are released. I don't have much money, none in fact, so I really like to know that it is worth the money.
If its going to cost you $200 to run that truck by the time its November? holy crap. what does it run on? Avgas?
'Cuz ya can't carry lumber or hay in the trunks of them fancy European city cars. We simple 'Muricans prefer havin' big 'ol trucks to carry crops into town to barter for horses and cattle. Y'all European city-folk wouldn't understand. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As a long-time Flatout fan, seeing this game really brings back memories. The original Flatout game was stellar, and the second one was even better. The driving aspect of NCG looks like a massive improvement over Flatout 2. However, I'm really going to miss playing darts and basketball with the ragdoll in Flatout 2. The damage in NCG looks pretty impressive too. It's not as accurate as BeamNG, but it looks great nonetheless. The Flatout series practically made my mid/late childhood, so I'm planning to drop $35 for the game.
I see this game as being a nice detailed racing game with the same destruction physics from GTA IV, just too a more extreme and better look. But the detail Bug Bear throw into the car looks is fantastic with the small dents, rust, and the over all look of the car is something that I thought would be cool in BeamNG If it gets (close) to complete, but can their be a possible way too make the car have small dents, rust, and other cool details, using a normal map for that car so it won't mess up a stock look of the same car if you selected that car instead of the modded car. And if we had a bunch of people who were excellent 3D modelers, photoshop guru's, and programmers make a bunch of detailed parts to add to the game, could their be a way were those parts are in a separate section (folder) in the main directory folder so the parts can be added to any car (in game, not threw the Jbeams out of the game, like in ROR) that we chose to mod, so the parts won't have to be in the same folder as the vehicle, so the user can make the vehicle into a race car or whatever he wants easier. I really don't know if I made a valid point, but I think something like this can be added.
I watched the trailer .... Damage model is not so Realsitic like in BeamNG .... In my opinion BeamNG Drive Devs wanted to make Derbies . Isnt in ?
When my dad used it to drive to work everyday, he would spend about 500-600 bucks per month. It costs ~$100 to fill the tank.
I think this will be one of my favorite games of all time! It looks quite promising already. And for those bitching about the crash physics, just stop. We are still quite far away from getting a real racing game with soft body physics because of the hardware today. Most computers/consoles aren't able to handle such physics so it's generally not a good idea making a game using it since most people can't play it. And fully simulated cars seems to be a bit tricky to make (tire models, steering, weight etc.), just ask the devs
Derbies, deliveries, races, everything possible; not just derby. Like an addon? I wish there was something like that too. On-topic: I think there will be more people playing NCG than BNG, even if all those people that don't know about BNG would know what it is, they would still prefer NCG. It's just how the world/people work, take CoD for example; each and every sequel is the same thing yet it's one of the top selling games. My point: People play what they know, and they play it for fun, they also follow the flock; unless that person turns out to be the 0.001% of the people which are here, playing BNG.
I drive an 330i E46 Touring over 20k miles a year and I spend under £300 a month. Your dad's expenses don't seem much, but it depends on how much he drives it.
As somebody who's dropped the $35 on NCG, I think it's hilarious how people are comparing NCG and BNG. I don't even recall NCG being in any sort of competition with BNG. It isn't even in the same market...
No really...that's what it's called ^^ http://nextcargame.com/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XORYQ52migc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8n8afMWq9Ok http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmQbUJiEax8 Just thought I'd share this with any Flatout or Destruction Derby fans. Can't WAIT for this game! This is gonna be epic. It's been too long since a game like Destruction Derby or Flatout was made and I'm hella excited for this.
Muscle Cars vs. VW Beetles? That's not very fair ;( On another note, I want those pistons in BeamNG now
id also like to note, that the people who are making "Next car game" are full of themselves, as one video they have, says its going to be a BeamNG Killer, which is utter bullshit
Do you even try? http://www.beamng.com/threads/3604-Next-Car-Game There is a thread about from 2 week already.
BeamNG car dammage is more realistic... in Nexst car game the dammage only pops in to place and loks the same if you crash with the same speed in almost the same place(as dont are as realistic as BeamNG)
Why does everyone automatically assume it's some competition just because it's another car game and feel the need to scream at us how much better BeamNG is than Next Car Game? Get a clue people...these games have absolutely NOTHING to do with eachother AT ALL. Next Car Game is not supposed to be realistic...it's an arcade game meant to be silly and over the top for fun purposes. BeamNG is a simulator, meant to be realistic. They have nothing in common except for the fact that both have cars. Jeesus get over it.
Where does anyone from BUGBEAR actually say that? Because they don't. This isn't going to be anything like BeamNG nor is it to be even compared with BeamNG at all. It's an arcade game. Not a simulator - - - Updated - - - Ok I thought everyone here would be smart enough to NOT say something this stupid, but I guess not. Again...Next Car Game is an ARCADE GAME...NOT A SIMULATOR. It's not trying to be realistic, and is no way to be compared to BeamNG at all because they're entirely seperate games. I just posted this info for anyone else who loves arcade smash em up car games. - - - Updated - - - lol wtf...i did actually...i searched like 3 times with different strings looking for a thread about Next Car Game and didn't find one...blah -_- broken search functionality ><
