I have a banner in the top left of my screen saying the mod is outdated and doesn't support this game version. But I'm using 8.0.1 on BeamNG 0.6.0.2.3.053
That "outdated" notification doesn't break the mod's functionality, i assume? Otherwise it would be a really bad thing. Still waiting for that "Light" version No pushing, author, just take your time. IRL always first.
You might regret saying that! 1. Hearing the starter still turning over if the user has the "E" key held down after ignition engaged. - If held down for way too long, it'll be fucked. 2. Dynamic auto/manual transmission wear - there would be a value for trans oil temp, permanent damage, and each type of abuse, will play a factor on temp/longevity/slippage, and along with the severity of each instance of wear will reflect on how severe the effecting result on the transmissions' performance and function will be. - for example, any type of drop (engine + trans engagement) at high RPM will most likely do the most permanent damage and give lots of heat. However, if one decides to just WOT all the time while the trans is engaged, that would increase some, but not as much value to the permanent damage than a drop, but slowly yet steadily increase trans temps. On another angle, think of someone that's stuck in 2nd gear and maxing it out. It wouldn't be worn from a harsh or abrupt shift, but suffer from gradually increasing high temps. - eventually, the trans would slip so horribly it might not engage after a few seconds, or at all, or only SOME gears; - which leads me to my next thought on assigning individual variables of longevity for each gear. This will emulate even more instances, like where you can't shift after 2nd or 3rd, or 4th gear is a bitch to engage (auto or manual). - can't we use the clutch value to emulate wear/slippage/performance loss? -RPM, HP and Torque during the instance of wear will also be a defining factor. - if you really wanted to get down and deep, we could even implement synchro longevity from improper shifts, and wear from not double clutching in dog box trannys 3. Dynamic torque converter/clutch wear - basically would work in the same manner as the previous idea, but for torque converters/clutches. - doing brake torque launches would wear out/overheat the torque converter the fastest. - wouldn't constant heavy inclines also wear it faster/overheat? - riding the clutch, improper dumping/etc would wear/overheat the clutch out the fastest
I dont know if this will help, but try just putting the zip file into the mods folder, thats what worked for me
I like that when you Drive into water you can kill the power and then pull the car out and it will still run
It's quite annoying how the horn isn't smooth, and neither is the start up sound. And the car alarm doesn't seem to work. Otherwise,
Mod isn't working, I followed the installation instructions and in the top left-hand corner of the screen it says "more-features-mod-8.0.1.zip is outdated and is incompatible with this game version." I am using 0.7.0.2, any ideas?
