I'm trying to import a Cadillac Eldorado into BeamNG, and from a lot of the mods I have installed I assumed it would be enough to drop my model onto existing suspension parts and match the part names so the Jbeams would at least deform and correspond to the correct part.. I merged the parts together so they would be able to be removed correctly, and tried pasting it first on top of ar162b's fullsize chassis, and then a really low-quality Ford Torino model off of worldofmods.ru. The same result ensued with both, the model is skewed off to the side of the frame, and whenever I steer the car the parts stay at their original angles, but still rotate for a weird effect. Any help on how to at least centre the body onto my frame of choice and stop this weird fixed-angle rotating part thing would be greatly appreciated. Programs used 3DS Max 2017(My main program for trying to edit the models) Blender (Tried import from Max as an FBX and DAE export, no difference) Cadillac model originally from GTA SA
Trying applying the parts in Blender now. I'll upload pictures in a bit and see if doing that made any difference.
Alright, applying the model stopped the rotating for one test, then when I tried to relaunch the game and load it again, it no longer creates the resource at all. Made sure the file has the right naming, still nothing. Pictures aren't really helpful now, since it doesn't show anything
You'll want to check the console and look for errors / warnings (press ~ on your keyboard). Feel free to attach your log file here as well (after trying to load the vehicle). Use beamng.log
