when ever i try to make a forest for my map it says "Failed to create file (is the file missing?):levels/testing/smallgrid.forest" then it crashes and this is what i find in the .forest file { "header":{ "format":"JSON Forest Data v2", "format description":"posX, posY, posZ, rotX, rotY, rotZ, rotW, scale", "version":2} , "instances":} i'm editing small grid with East Coast Usa's objects and trees and stuff please help
@Epic_Guy - did you try just deleting the *.forest file entirely and letting the game recreate it? I don't think that the contents of that forest file look healthy. @Nadeox1 - this thread may need to move to bug reports. Another user recently wrestled with this issue: http://www.beamng.com/threads/what-am-i-doing-wrong-forest-file-issues.31990/
when my game crashes it says error 0x00000001 --- Post updated --- can one of you guys make me a .forest file? if so thanks
Try just copying the one from East Coast USA. That should do what you need. Make sure that the name inside your *.mis file matches the name you give the *.forest file.
i will try --- Post updated --- one problem i found is that it didnt have the new Forest(theForest) { position = "0 0 0"; rotation = "1 0 0 0"; scale = "1 1 1"; canSave = "1"; canSaveDynamicFields = "1"; dataFile = "levels/smallgrid/smallgrid.forest"; lodReflectScalar = "0.15"; }; in the .mis file
works!! --- Post updated --- just gotta get rid of all the east coast usa trees --- Post updated --- now what i need is a east coast usa forest file with no trees :/
