Just bought a new daily! A 1971 1/2 Barstow Fastback! It set me back a fair penny, but boy was it worth it. It's got a 353 CUI V8, four-barrel carbs, and race suspension. From what the previous owner told me, it started life as a run-of-the-mill Barstow Fastback, but the man who owned it before him, the original owner, wanted a purebred racing machine, so he started putting all sorts of race parts on it, starting with the suspension and hood, and then on to the steering. He told me that the old-old owner told him that he ran out of money, had to sell it and that's how the got his hands on it, back in '75. It cost me $35000, and I'm gonna restore it to its true, original form. Here are the full specs: Motor: 353 CUI Firewall V8, four-barrel carbs Wheels: 15x7 Alder Metal-Glide steel rims w/ Smoothie hubcaps, on 185/80 standard tires all around Transmission: Four-speed manual Suspension: Independent front, four-link live-axle rear, race springs and shocks all around Rear diff: 2.99 Limited-Slip Steering: Quick-ratio racing steering Miles: 10500 between both old owners Paint: Fiesta yellow w/ black striping Radiator: High-performance dragster radiator
Nice wheels m8 --- Post updated --- You should enter the Moonhawk derby, people come and whoever gets the most beat up Moonhawk in the arena wins a new Moonhawk for next year...
Don't care I like this one, and does anyone have a spare heavy-duty radiator at hand? If so I kinda need it.
Sure thing. My shop's on Gildbrook lane. Just look for the yellow and black Barstow parked out front. You can't miss it.
Jesus... Well, at least you're okay. I think I have a Moonhawk I've been building for the past couple years in my shop.
