If you are thinking of adding music,Get some inspiriation here Licence(Driving School) scenario(when you read what you are supposed to do) And (offtopicly) some tune like this in garage would be nice
Computer. Below 20 Frames Per Second you cannot play any timer-based scenarios. Below 20 Frames Per Second the game is not running in real-time. 20 Frames Per Second is the minimum required to play timer-based scenarios.
I agree with a few of the other posts here. Being able to select the levels would be nice. Maybe you could make it like the map selector, where when you click on, say, Senseless Destruction, it opens like map selection, but instead of spawnpoint options, there are level selections. Just an idea.
The campaigns are okay, they are kind of nice. But I feel that they are just more neatly presented scenarios, I would have expected some kind of career elements in the campaigns. If this is what campaigns are going to be, I don't really think that they are necessary to the game.
Well I liked the senseless destruction and the driver training was helpful for starting but only having two was meh to me!
I liked it just really need a way to skip the intro because the really killed the whole thing for me!
I was expecting a career mode I guess...then smaller objectives to accomplish by racing and upgrading your car...race around town...lose the cops...fix your car...maybe just a fender or bumper. slap some paint on it and do it again. Drift around...There was a points system I seen which could be very useful... Vehicles have part prices so I thought they would mean something. It was fun for sure and hella easy. But not as fun and I get much more replayability from grabbing a moonhawk and going for a burn on east-coast usa.
I really enjoyed the experience but I think it would be nice if we could do each scenario individually after completing the campaign. Other than that everything is pretty nice imo and all that's missing is more campaigns in the future.
Really good! Great to play, can't wait for more. One thing I noticed is no level selector when you restart. If I have to go do something, I come back and load it up and start from the start, so a level select would be nice. Other than that, really good. Especially Senseless Destruction.
Things to add: Level selector Ability to see the 'preview text' (creator can choose which ones show up)(non-collide) Replays (when replay system is stable enough) Using characters (e.g. Mike the Instructor) in custom campaigns Great job otherwise!
I like the fact you had more than just one scenario in these and that all the different scenarios in the campaigns had their own instructions. I've now tried the drivers training with a driving force gt and an xbox controller and for those two it's very well balanced and I got almost the same scores and both finished with silver. For me a meh part was how hard some of the driver training scenarios were to get gold or silver on. The one where you have the moonhawk really annoyed me as I couldn't get a really good score in that and it was so close to getting silver but I always left it on bronze before someone found a free controller on my yard along bits of broken glass. Something that could be done better is the scoring system on some (not many) scenarios but other than that this was fun and quite good. For as future feature I think a way to save progress in the campaign to come later on and continue would be nice. Say you can play for half an hour and then need to do something else. Just save the campaign and come back later on. Polishing the experience doesn't need much. Saving and slight improvements on some things is all it needs. All in all very well done for what it is and really good for the first release of something. Good job!
I liked most of it a lot, didn't like the ones where i cant change the camera angle. I realize that would be too easy but still. I did have a problem with the last one with the drag car, My buddy loved watching it crash so he just kept on Redoing it over and over and it started having menu problems at about the 5th time. At first the timer was just off but by the end he couldn't start it at all. Just the beginning cut-scene and you could here the engine laboring when on the throttle. --- Post updated --- There is also a career mode coming in addition to these so you get the best of both worlds.
I love the campaign but I really wish I could select a part to play specifically rather than to play all of them to get to the one you want to do. Also, the one where you have to smash a moonhawk off a cliff with a van is really difficult to get a gold. In the drag race one the barstow as a crash which is just not violent enough for me, even though it explodes. The last scenario sometimes glitches out a little. Sometimes it can take FOREVER to restart it and sometimes after that happens you can start before the 3 2 1 thing says go. Also at times the white text can disappear on the last scenario. Menu problems. Also, the finish screen blocks up the screen, preventing me from watching a crash at the end. Can you please move the end screen to the side so I can see the crash? Thanks! In my opinion, 8/10 stars.
The senseless destruction was the absolute coolest thing of the 2. the only issue to me is that the drag race and the climbing is really hard with a keyboard. But in the Future more destruction would be really cool. And then with themes. like movies or sum like that. Plz make them easyer for those that dont have a steering wheel og a controller and have to use a keyboard. Otherwise ther are freaking awesome
Senseless destruction's scenarios do a good job of showing off what this game is capable of. The bridge in particular is a very cool creation and I hope it's added to Utah's free roam. I got hung up on the crawler mission; didn't like the cameras which felt too much like operating an RC car and had no immersion. I was hoping to go back to it and try again but didn't want to play them all over. So for me its awsome, more please, but its missing a level progression save system, and an unlockable camera option. Can't wait to see what modders do with this framework and might give it a go myself in a race type scheme.
After trying to load Driver's Training, my game decided it was not going to load ANY levels at all by trying to load it, but spitting a 0x0000001 at me. Posted on a bug report thread regarding this issue. Windows 7 Ult, 32Gb RAM, Intel i5-4570 @ 3.20 GHz, 1GB Video Mem.
What did you like? The scoring system added a new sense of challenge to the game. What was meh? Slow computer led to inaccurate times. What could we do better? It would be nice if the timers were adjusted to computer performance. Driver's Ed was impossible because of this. What feature would you like to see in the future? Performance optimization (always). How can we polish the experience a bit more? Add more campaigns; I love them!
