I've decided to be Max Payne

I love this game but I think the handling of cars and bikes will really limit the lifespan for me. The motorbikes have been butchered with the new handling. They're fast but are so boring to use, there's no drama when using them and they don't even slide when turning tightly. I used to love doing wheelies, burnouts and stunts on GTA IV bikes. On IV there was a real sense of weight to vehicles which made the driving more challenging but very rewarding.

I agree with you. I've been playing GTA IV until a week before GTA V, and it was fun for me just driving around, but that driving fun is gone for me, cars don't feel realistic anymore. I enjoyed watching the suspension in action, the wheels spinning in some bumps, etc. I hope they make a mod for the PC version and make it fun again.

I'm very much enjoying GTA V (on Xbox360), it is one of the best games I have ever played and will definitely last until GTA VI comes out.

What Rockstar have done with old hardware is mindblowing, I can't help but think just how good it could be if they did it for PC/Next Gen instead of current gen. GTA Online will be massively limited on Xbox 360/PS3 I think. It HAS to come to PC to get the most out of it. Saying that I'm looking forward to GTA Online probably more than I was looking forward to GTA V, I'm more of an online player and the amount of things to do seems almost limitless.

The best thing is you don't really know what your next mission will involve, whether it be main story or random strangers. It's not like previous GTA's where you see some dialogue, drive somewhere, shoot people, more dialogue, repeat. (spoiler - highlight text -> ) I've gone from shooting aliens with a chain gun, to taking photographs of celebrities, and even stealing somebody's underwear!!!

There's a fair bit of moaning around the internet about micro-transactions for money. I don't see why people are moaning? You don't need to buy anything, just earn it which is what I plan to do.

But it's not perfect. Like most people I don't like the driving physics. There's far too much grip. I think all they need to do is reduce tyre grip by about 50% and it'd be much better. There's also some problems with car spawning still (exactly the same issue which plagued GTA IV) where you see a lot of the same car for a certain amount of time, then a lot of another car.

The character switching is good when not in missions, but during missions I'm disappointed. I thought you could switch to any character at any time, turns out you can't. Sometimes you get the option to switch, but more often than not your choice is limited to just one character.

I both agree and disagree with review scores. Yes, it's a masterpiece and probably the best game of this generation and deserves 10/10. But really thinking about it, I'd give it 9.5/10 because of the driving physics, a few bugs and the in-mission character switching.

the car spawning thing isnt a problem, its a feature, where the game will spawn a bunch of the car your driving, that way if you lose it, you can just get a new one

It may be a feature, but for gameplay's sake, it is a horrible problem. We have all these cars and all you see is 20 of the car you are currently driving. I'm led to believe that it is actually due to hardware limitations so the consoles don't have to load every vehicle into memory and can just load group 1 or group 2 etc.

Not a feature, it's a technical limit due to consoles having absolutely TINY amounts of RAM. It just so happens that it works well.

Thought as much. Yet another reason why I wonder why they stuck to current gen... I just think it could be so much better on PC which is what annoys me the most!!

Because the port was made by overpaid monkeys. There is a mod to fix it.

I tried tons of fixes and none worked, even though I have 8GB RAM and 3GB Vram.

P.S: I jumped onto a moving train lol, you can stay on it for as long as you want. Then I killed the driver shooting through a window and nothing happened :S I was expecting the train to stop at least.

Have you tried TrafficLoad? I've heard it slows the game down quite a bit though because the game was "optimised" for loading groups of cars, not all of them.

I have a question: how the hell am I supposed to get 150mio after finishing the story to buy the golf club?
I mean you get ridicoulous 300€ for a boring base jump (Is this a joke rockstar games? 300€? Really?). And around 5000€ for robbing a money transporter.
(Wich is also a joke compared to what is in a money transporter in real life)
And I know you can get quite a lot of money from bourse but that is not enough for 150mio and honestly I don't want to spend my afternoon in a virtual internet looking at numbers. :/

In an assassination mission, Lester told me that certain company would skyrocket, so I made 5 mil in about 4 minutes.

Yeah I know that :/ But sadly I rushed the whole story and side missions in 3days so I didn't really think about doing it. And even, 4mio + the money you got at the end isn't enough to buy a 150mio golf club.

this is kind of off-topic, well, actually, i guess not, because it is about gta v, so anyway, what mod would you hope gets made first once rockstar has the pc port of gta v out? im personally hoping for simple native trainer, was the best cheaty mod ever made for gta iv, so would be great to have it again :D

    Native trainer and handling improvement.

P.S: I can't wait to drive around at night with all the settings maxed out :p instead of the crappy 30 fps @ 1280x720

What's the point in even buying real estate? You can't sell it for a profit and the only benefit is a few random missions and some pocket change.
Lot's of promises, not so much that lived up, the endgame is pretty lacking, especially now that cars suck.
