Why cant i install mods

I want to install the 49 cadillac and it says

i brought the full game can anyone tell me why i cant download the mod thnx

 

You don't have the "BeamNG.drive" badge under your username, which tells me you either haven't activated your copy of Drive yet, or you haven't actually bought it.

Go to the email where you received your serial, and click the SECOND link to upgrade your forum account to be able to access user content.

same thing happens to me but when a click on the second link it says your account as already been activated please try to log in and it does nothing i enterded my activation number but it still saying me that i cant access the page help me please!

I already contacted the support team about 1 weeks ago and nobody responded to me so i guess im stuck with the same vehcules and maps:/

 

My computer won't let me open the folder of the game

 

Take a screenshot with the Snipping Tool (built into windows 7) and post it here; that doesn't seem right...

 

Yeah I would do what FastChassic said, what OS are you using? Did you change the drive icon under your username? This sounds wired.

 

I have windows 8

 

Oh, that's probably the issue. Windows 8 doesn't seem to like BeamNG very much (according to a friend who also has a loaner Windows 8 from Fry's)...

 

There's your problem, BNG has been known to have problems with 8.

 

I don't think that's his problem at all; Drive behaves on my Windows 8 machine. It doesn't play nice with anything other than Windows, actually -but that's irrelevant.

When you say it won't open your game folder, are you referring to "\AppData\Local\BeamNG\BeamNG-drive-0.3\"? Does it give you an error message? Do you have administrator privileges? Gotta let us know~

You need winrar or 7zip to extract the vehicle.

 

i extracted the file but when i try to switch to it in game it just goes blank and theres no vehicle

 

if you use experimental version, you should unpack mods here: Documents > BeamNG.drive > cache > vehicles. but if you opened archive and see folder "vehicles", copy archive to: your_steam_games_library > BeamNG.drive > content > vehicles.

If you opened the archive and you see vehicles, drop the archive in
Documents >BeamNG.drive > Mods

If you opened the archive and it doesn't have "vehicles", extract it to the BeamNG folder, usually
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\common\BeamNG.drive\content\vehicles\

Btw... you also just bumped this by 11 months...
